Or just install a custom ROM.
It might be a bit troublesome to install a rom for the first time, but it's worth it.

Oh daaamn!
That's great!
I was not aware that they have made that possible now.
As long as it's properly implemented that's a great thing.
Though I have a feeling many won't do it as well as Google.
Because it's harder to allow upgrades while keeping data than making a clean install.

Yeah, it's nice. I haven't put a ROM in my phone because I'm pretty sure my GPS is screwed up. Installing a custom ROM voids the software warranty, not the hardware one, but it would troublesome to install a ROM in a phone I might not keep.
Even if I get a refund I'll just get the same phone though. I love this thing and so far haven't found anything that required a better phone.

Am I the only one here who has a BlackBerry?
Yup.
Everyone is using Android right now.
~70% of the (worldwide)market belongs to Android, ~20% to iOS. I'd guess that Blackberry and Windows Phone are at about 4% each, with the rest being 1-2% combined.
Sadly though, sooo many Android users are stuck in older versions just because of phone manufacturers and carrier locks.
Here's the versions people are using in chart form:
Android 4.1(Jelly Bean, the newest version) is a BIG step up from 2.3(Gingerbread).
