A quick look at the title sums up most of the article.
Origin used to scan your computer without any restrictions for info that it later sends to EA. Info ranging from hardware specs (relatively innocent) to your installed programs to your browsing history (less innocent) without ANY notification to the user. If I am to simplify it a lot Origin is basically Spyware..
EA say that they have changed it, but when they implement it in Origin without telling anybody about it and then update their EULA to make them legally allowed to do it, I don't think I can ever trust them..
Luckily the only EA game that I wanna play right now - BF3 - has been cracked to work without Origin.

It's funny that this hack is for paying customers only. Razor1911 have done people a great service by allowing people to say **** OFF to EA's tom****ery.
In other news Razer's new Synapse 2.0 software also acts like Spyware, sending user information to Razer.
