New Support Item list?

In order to use its active, either you or your carry will have to be in melee range of the enemies, so it's not ideal on most of the supports that could best make use of its stats (during laning phase). In addition, most supports who could use its active in lane really want to build tankier items (such as Taric or Leona). Outside of laning, the item is certainly interesting. I also wouldn't tend to use Shard of True Ice on Soraka. Soraka can manage her own mana just fine without really needing to build any MP5 outside of Philo, and her entire team shouldn't have to worry about mana too much due to [[Infuse]]. She also doesn't really need the AP, as the majority of a support Soraka's damage is going to come from being able to stay alive for more Starcalls and the majority of her job isn't that damage. Both of Soraka's heals have really, really bad AP scaling, so it's not very useful there, either.[/quote]

Yeah I have got a lot of slack about getting Boots of Mobility, but I think that it is really useful to rush through getting the necessary wards down past the mid game. I feel like you have to be all over the map AND be right on top of the battle when it commences. That is my reason for using Boots of Mobility, especially with [[Sona]] since her Ulti is so key for team fights. I was considering [[Kage's Lucky Pick]] for a while in order to eventually build into [[Shard of True Ice]]. I have actually added it into my feature item test in my Sona build. Very good thoughts! [[Zeke's Herald]] shouldn't be a standard item now, since it no longer gives AS. I need to test [[Mikael's Crucible]] before I can comment on that - though I can see it replacing [[Spirit Visage]] in many of my builds.[/quote]
