I've got a tip. If you get Luden's Echo, your E and Q will explode the enemy, and when you ult, the Luden's Echo charges activate while the ult is still active. This means it will continually keep popping on the ulted target as long as you charge your Luden's by moving around and spamming skills.
I've been away for over a year and now that I've just started playing League again I'll definitely be updating soon (maybe today!). Thanks for the Luden's Echo mention and for your support of such an old guide :D Appreciate it!
This guide is one of several which inspired me to buy Mordekaiser after he was on free rotation one week. It's too bad this guide has not been updated recently; it is one of the best guides for Mordekaiser I have seen despite its age. There was another guide for this champion which suggested listening to heavy metal music while playing him, which makes playing him FUN.
For those who are reading this guide, note that Deathfire Grasp has been removed. Its replacement, Luden's Echo, is still pretty strong on Mordekaiser, particularly when Siphon of Destruction is used. It helps to clear minion waves quickly.
Also, as this guide mentions, Creeping Death damages turrets. If on the other hand you stand near the turret and the enemy goes close to you or the minion, you'll get attacked. Your Iron Man shield should be able to take one turret blow if you've been using your abilities properly though.
Creeping Death combined with Mordekaiser's early game sometimes allows you to shove your opponent out of lane. If this happens and you destroy the turret, it's time to roam. You won't manage to destroy the second turret without help, and chances are you'll end up giving away a free kill if you try. So don't even think about trying, just help the rest of your team out. When I am mid, I typically head to other lanes which are in distress and attempt to grab a ghost. As top (which happens less often in my case), teleporting where you're needed can change the course of the game.
When I am mid, my typical strategy involves trying to bully my opponent out of lane, then take down the turret. This is followed by roaming until the other two turrets are down, while protecting my turret from destruction (since Mordekaiser's wave clear is strong from my experience, you should be able to push back the waves and then roam briefly before coming back to protect your turret).
This guide is still pretty awesome despite being outdated though. I hope the author comes back and updates it some time.
I know it's been QUITE a while since I've been back. I took a LoL hiatus for about a year when work and home life became a complete overload. I've just moved and finally starting to settle. Just played my first game (I fed horribly after seeing new champs and items that I know nothing about, haha).
Will most definitely be revisiting the guide for some updating within the next day or so. Thanks so much for your advice (I'll most definitely be including it in the updates and throwing you a shout-out!) and thanks also for your support for such an outdated guide.
