So I have made many many guides. One of those guides is my Ezreal one.
This guide is highly original for it is a hybrid guide.
I started with comment to vote and a lot of people liked, were very supportive and positive.
The guide started rising and rising! 70% -> 80% and eventually 86% becoming the 2nd best Ezreal guide out there!
I was so proud of myself, but when the comment to vote ended, my guide went all the way downhill...
From the 2nd place to the 6th place in no-time.
All my pride is gone right now, and I am thinking of archiving my guide just because of the late downvotes.
No one had to comment anymore to click downvote, they all just pressed the button, and poof! Muhahaha, the poor guy again is one spot lower in the race!
This is so unfair, comment to vote has sooo much influence!
What I think, is that they should keep comment to vote till the guide gets bloody archived.
It makes me sad, I am always so constructive towards others, trying to help them, giving them advice, not even downvoting them.
I just wanted to rant a little bit, excuse me if you didn't like it, but it feels so unfair.

Everyone thinks everyone else is trying to ruin their guide, because they can. Albeit there are people like that out there, their are not enough to significantly change your guides percentage.
You see, the comment to vote idea is there so that at the beginning of guides, people are forced to tell you what's wrong. This'll improve your guide, and make it one worthy to be at that percentage.
Now you'll tell me "but people voted me up, that means it must've been good". No, people voted you up so that they don't have to deal with anyone having a go at them, which may not happen all the time but people are pre-emptive about such things. You'll notice in most comments they'll say "Nice guide, I upvoted BUT *insert something you could do better with*". This means their intention was to downvote, and probably not tell you why, but since they had to comment they gave you the reason they thought the guide was bad. This time of reprisal and help from the community is what you should've taken advantage of, and studied every suggestion people gave. In doing so, your percentage would almost definitely have not gone down by very much.
I do not have the quote here, but one of the moderators have said before that every voter is a league player, and therefore you must respect their choice. EVEN IF they say something stupid like "no tits, downvoted". Instead of approaching this as your guy si getting downvoted because people are stupid, approach it as "your guide is getting downvoted because it needs imnprovement".
You'll notice all the top guides are not there because they have the best guide possible, but because they have put the most effort into the guide itself. These people have put days upon days of effort into their coding to make it so user friendly and just all-round lovely. Study this, study their techniques, and blatantly copy their ****. Trust me, it'll work. People see with their eyes, not their brains. Always remember this.
