Hey! Sorry I've been away from the guide for a while. I'm back and I'll update it now with changes to items and the like.

Liandry's Torment has always been nice (but not the best early) pick, and now with the new changes I would say that it is a great mid to late game pickup. Having Haunting Guise early is awesome, but mathematically Liandry's Torment isn't worth picking up until the enemy gets some more health.

With just the stat value from Liandry's Torment, you get 1880 gold worth in stats before the DoT effect. If you want the DoT to deal enough magic damage to make up for the 1020 gold you pay for without getting any base stats then you need the enemy to have a decent amount of health so that the percentage damage DoT does enough damage. If you take into account an average base magic resist of, say 30, then the dot will become cost effective when you're dealing damage to a champion who has over 1400 health roughly. As they get more magic resist that number jumps higher unless you buy more magic penetration to deal with that.

While the burn is only cost effective until the champion is at 1400 or so, that is about half health for more champions after level 18. This means that the item is cost effective for the gold you spend, when trying to bring an enemy to half health. This makes Liandry's Torment a better pick up if you are the one on your team who has to poke without much team help. Then once the enemy is low, your team can engage. If this isn't how you are playing and you're going to be trying to blow up the enemy using everything at once, or maybe bursting down already low health targets, then this item isn't worth gold and you end up losing over a thousand gold that you could have spent on a flat AP item.

As I explain this item more, I find that it depends on the playstyle your team requires of you... but also I can't help but think about how this isn't a great AP mage item. It has it's uses, but I would rather see this on an AP support like Zyra. This then becomes a utility item to get the enemy low, while allowing Gragas to stay with flat burst damage.

All in all, this item helps out a lot more for Gragas in the late game, provided he has enough magic pen to deal with the enemy magic resist (which counters the dot and makes it less cost effective), and he is forced into a more poke oriented role on his team. It's a great tool to bring a high healthed or late game team low. This item paired with Morellonomicon is a new option for a build which I will discuss as soon as my new edits for my guide are ready. The two basically allow you to do 4 great things: Spam abilities, keep mana high, deal (current) percentage damage, and once getting enemies low allow you to keep them low for four seconds after each spell you land.

This means that you become a very scary poke champion who can deal massive damage and then keep the enemy from healing as well from any source. This then makes it easy to whittle down your opponents and then go all in with your team once they are low and unable to heal up as well during fights.

Hope this helps! Keep looking for my updates as I will be trying to get them up as soon as I can.

Hey I just played Gragas for the first time using this build because I like being a bit tanky. Well it worked out really well, here's a picture of my score:

Summoner name: Plaplar
Level: 30

I enjoyed playing him and will surely do more, using this build because the Brand I was facing just couldn't handle my mobility and tankiness.

I considered doing the "Force Comments" option, however, I had 17 votes within the first week and I didn't feel like making only 3 more votes comment (only works for the first 20 votes). While C2V is nice for stopping SOME downvotes, it also discourages any voting at all. I trust that those who like my guide will upvote it if they want to, while those who think it needs improvement will hopefully comment. However, those who will downvote without reason will do so with or without commenting, by simply leaving a comment of "aig394utj90v" and pressing enter. I'd rather not burden those who don't want to comment when upvoting, as many without critizium will simply say, "hey good job, +1."

Nice guide, I can see you put a LOT of time into this
Also you should use the force comments option so that lazy critics will actually say something ;) +1

Haha... right when I get to 90% rating, someone has to come along and ghost downvote it back to a 87% without reading or probably even looking at my guide. Knew it would happen. :)

At any rate, I hit 90% rating today and I just wanted to say thank you to all those who have supported me! You've made it really fun to continue bettering this guide. If you don't like this guide, please comment and let me know why instead of downvoting right away. If you like it, I can't stress enough how much an upvote helps counter the troll downvotes. Thanks again! :)

I'll be continuing my improvements on this guide almost daily.
