Muramana Champs

Muramana is a very effective item on Ryze for example, but is there any other champions, specifically the AP mids, that also benefit from building a Muramana over a Seraphs like Ryze does?

Some people build it on Syndra for stupid ultimate damage, but it really has no use outside of her ultimate. Even then, it can amplify enough to simply melt anyone she uses it on. Anyone with lots of single-target spells it would work well on. It could be used on LeBlanc, but only two of her spells could do that and she would benefit more from the raw AP from Seraph's. It's a really special item and doesn't fit that many AP mids. It's not really meant for AP mids, just mana-hungry AD champs like Jayce.

Anyone tried ? is on a 0.5s CD with poison. That should give DPS comparable to Ryze, right?

Of course actually scales with the mana while Cass is AP-based. Not sure who else could be a candidate besides though.

I don't know about that. Good mana management isn't always the best solution. Chalice and tear are pretty common on some of the more mana-hungry mids, like Orianna and Anivia.

The main problem I see is that Cass usually wants to build Rylai's and Liandry's at some point (unless I'm wrong about S3 Cass, haven't seen her much), so delaying her build does kinda hurt.

Also I didn't mention because the question was about AP mids. People have been building on champions like and too.

Urgot can use it fairly well because he is going to end up buying frozen fist / frozen heart . Plus, his q is on a super short cooldown.

Manamune cass sucks for the laning phase because a tear is such a waste of money when good cass' can handle mana costs (especially with passive). Ryze actually gets damage from a tear (:

Ezreal when played mid is also able to use Muramana quite well since has a low cooldown and is single-targetted, while also able to amplify the damage of by quite a bit.
But overall it is just mostly used on Syndra and Ryze, with the former going for a complete nuke build and the latter being Mana-based.
Arguably Muramana can also be built on Singed for a ridiculous amount of damage on , but Seraph's Embrace works much better than Muramana for him overall.

Pretty much any champ with a lot of single target burst.

So technically, you could use it AP-wise for champions like or something
However, it will only deal a lot of damage when you cast a lot of spells and have a lot of mana.
Else, Seraphs embrace is a much better option.

The reason it works so well for Ryze is because Ryze isn't really AP based, but mana based. Since Muramana gives a lot of mana and a fitting toggle aswell, it is a very good option.

So you could get it for single target based AP mids, but it will be much less effective than a real AP item.

"technically" it works horrible on veigar because he does not have a super short cooldown single target spell (or multiple hits spell) like ryze and syndra.

He was the only mid champion with great single target damage that popped up in my mind that very moment :P

You are right, it doesn't work on Veigar, because there are much better items for him, don't get me wrong, but since Muramana works for single targets great, TECHNICALLY it should work for Veigar aswell :P

Of course, we all know it doesn't

it doesn't work for veigar because he does not have a spell that can really use it to your advantage.

Some people build it on syndra because it procs for each ball in your ultimate. There is a huge difference between the two :p

Veigar has better items to build.

I just read it, and i noticed a thing that seem insane for me :
We're speaking about the multi-proc on the syndra ult, but no one have just say "Malzahar" at all.
He could do one of the best use of it, between is E wich will harass like hell, and his ult wich do around 5-7proc!!
