Ranged carries... what happened, where are they?

last 6 games I've played 0 ranged carries, on my team at least...

They're all melee then they complain about dying too much because they're being mowed down by the opponent's cc and aoe.

Anyone else been noticing the sheer lack of ranged carries?

Its not like its because the ranged guys were nerfed in terms of frozen mallet, none of these guys even build much hp anyways. Quite frustrating.

Probably because there were 3 or more in every match, that people started to counter them.

In turn, its just one countless line of counters depending on the "flavor" of the month, so I'm sure we will be seeing the next counter once the next hero comes out or people get tried of getting faced rolled by 4 melee carry/tanks and start getting AOE, CC. Once that happens it will be back to the range carries and assasins every game. Thats just my opinion on the matter lol

Maybe melee carries just tend to be more fun to people? People might like jumping into the fray rather than sitting in the back and sniping.

Also I see Ashe like 75% of the games, soooooo maybe it's just you! :P

They are still here. Just they got a bit nerfed since they got a MS penality for beeing ranged.

Sill i see alot of teemos, ashes, caitlyns.

There are still MANY potent ranged carries. All ranged carries are extremely balanced at the moment, oddly enough. Ashe, corki, tristana, sivir, caitlyn.. They are all in good spots. They arent OP, arent UP. People just prefer to run overpowered champions, then lose due to lack of dps.

Yeah we are still here doing our duties to try and make sure we put the teams on our backs, i think since exhaust change tho people feel more comfortable playing the melee heroes since they aren't totally shut down by one summoner spell.

I've noticed quite the lack of ranged players in recent matches. More often than not, I end up having to mid on Irelia. It doesn't turn out too bad, but definitely not ideal.

The best dps heroes now are those which are backed by a Utility spell. (I.E. one they can use to get IN or get AWAY). Ex. ezreal, corki, tristana, Caitlyn (i say that very loosely), Nidalee or DPS heroes with slows, like kayle or ashe..

This also makes heroes such as Kogmaw, Miss fortune, Twitch, Teemo, and Twisted Fate Less Viable.

Kog: Good hero, great damage, but so easily targeted now with the ridiculous amount of heroes they are introducing with some form of blink, and he really has no escape.

MF: Her Range isn't very impressive, she has to get to a dangerous point in the fight to do anything BUT pop her ultimate, and lets be honest, her ulti is lackluster at best.

Twitch: Get Riot Raped Much. Low range with no ult, ult only does 7 shots now, low damage. Sorry xiaoli

Teemo: Not a high range, no real escapes, mushrooms are good, but sorry Rain Man, even you told me he isnt viable.

Twisted Fate: Too squishy, no damage unless you are tools and feed him. His damage is an exact split into AP or AD, giving him the katarina conflict. His range is unimpressive and he has to get to a dangerous point to not only attack but throw his stun/cards.

So how about the most Op character ingame? Sivir? She have no real utility spell... only a spell shield.

Still she is by far the best character ingame? Were is ur logic now? >:D
