oh sorry i had a brain fart for a moment there of course the boss was a huge surprise i was expecting it to be a carrot monster because of all the nanomachines they had in the storyline!

Carrots mother[CENSORED]. Do you eat 'em?
Honestly though, I've played this game and they made many references in game towards the final boss being some kind of nanomechanic prodigy. Almost spoiler-ish too.
