Well, that is up to you. I do feel like there is a single BEST way to play lulu (The way I play her, and that is sort of equal to how pro players play her, just a bit difference in level), and that even IF that would be your way, there are still some problems I foresee (no defensive items/masteries and little runes) for support lulu to overcome.
Also, concering Laggermeister, he is a bit of a criticus. Generally he is right, but sometimes he goes a bit too far with his opinion.
And why your guide gets that much attention? Well, I think a lot of just scout for guides for champions they like to play and give criticism.

Gawd damn, why the hell is my guide the one getting attention like this, i don't see any purple guys posting on the other new guides.

-1. This is awful. I'm one of the best Lulu players on NA, so listen up.

1. Runes are wrong. Do not ever run AP runes on Lulu. Her AP ratios are horrific and her passive doesn't scale with AP. The 10.8 extra AP from Greater Glyph of Ability Power gives you a whopping 6 extra damage on Glitterlance.

2. Masteries are wrong. Not only is 9/0/21 a huge risk on Lulu, your utility tree is also specced wrongly.

3. Skill sequence is wrong. You either max Q first or E first, not put two early points in W and try to max W and E simultaneously.

4. Pros and cons: Lulu has humongous early game damage. The corresponding con is that she has no late game damage and transitions into a utility character. The base damage on her skills are very high but she has ****ty AP scaling.

5. Summoner spells: Ignite is not usable. It's useless and can't be used defensively like Exhaust. Clairvoyance is a situational pick. Many players haven't picked up on the correct use of this spell - to counter stealth.

6. Items: You already know faerie+bead start is wrong. The correct support start is a single Faerie Charm and at least three wards. Also, your Sightstone is far too late. I get a Ruby Crystal and two wards on first back, then complete Sightstone on second back. It is almost always the very first item I buy.

LOL, another guide author who thinks listing items = teaching how to play.

Cons on Lulu:
- She moves slowly w/o Whimsy
- Squishy
- Has no sustain (difference between "heals" and "sustain")
- Her buff Help, Pix! is weak early game, as it scales with the carry's AS (However, I would still argue it is stronger than Nami's Tidecaller's Blessing)

truth in this..and..in general needs a lot more. I mean it isn't awful...but doesn't stand out versus other guides in any way...only reason I am not down voting is the Sky video lol that guy keeps it real...if you play support you know he speaks truth.

There may be no set way to play her but there is definitely a better way...your close-mindedness is astounding. Learn to take criticism from those more experienced than you. But on to my critiques:

-Provide more optional items
-How do I play this champ both in lane and in teamfights?
-I prefer 1/8/21 masteries putting a point in Exhaust improvement
-Don't write guides at Bronze IV, you will get chewed out by everyone

Yes DKitten, I am thinking of removing the whole, no heal, con. I put that in short mindedness while trying to think of a con to Lulu, it's hard, i'm pretty bias

Again, i said it was a work in progress and im new to Mobafire. I don't even get how to change background pics or even post them in a way that i want. Also im having a hard time getting a Map uploaded in the guide.
