You see, I was going out last night to get some computer equipment to upgrade my old computer. I ran XP on my machine ever since the day it came out. The OS never gave me problems and I wanted to avoid the train wreck that was Vista..... So XP stayed on my machine ever since. When windows 7 came out, I ignored updating because, once again, I was so much in love with XP.
Until I was told that my computer needed updates by some nerdy troll in LoL who said my computer loaded like a toaster.
That's when I decided to update.
In the morning, my friend called me and told me that he heard about my dilemma and that he had plenty of spare computer parts that he had from his last upgrade. A new hard drive, new ram, and a new video card. Great! I asked him how much and he told me that this one was on the house. Instead of going to get computer parts, I can now turn my Friday night into an enjoyable outing with some friends from work. He told me he'd implement the upgrades then.
And so, the plan was made.
I was advised by my friends that it'd be smart to make sure that I had security cameras watching the process of the machine being upgraded to ensure that no risky business happened, so I got one of those screen recording programs called "Strip Commander" to add to my machine. It'd ensure that I was to be able to see what exactly was happening on my desktop screen to make sure that my friend didn't look through any of my personal photos/files/memoirs/ect.
I don't know if that's what they meant.
Oh well.
The stage was set and I waited.
Moments later, he came to my house with that obnoxious knock and laugh that he does. We shook hands and I showed him my computer. He remarked at how outdated my tower was merely at the sight of my floppy disk drive still being used within my machine and insulted me for it in his rather snide manner (I still use floppies, pal). He said that he'd be able to use one of his old towers. I advised him that the one I had was fine and that for everything else, he should just do what he did best. He laughed. And I mean he laughed. Kinda creepy, but aren't all computer geeks suppose to be creepy?
I left the house to eat and hang out.
The next is merely the footage of what went on during the upgrade.
After reviewing the footage, I threw my computer out the window.
I'm still not sure what to do with the corpse.
I hope Windows 7 isn't this bad.
