so basicaly it should be possible to build any champion ad, because late game adcs deal most of their dmg with their autoattacks, shouldnt it?

I don't think AD on AP bruisers are viable. I do however, think that going AP on some ad champs is viable and vice versa. Try ADC ahri. Max charm. Think of an adc with a triple dash and a 2 (is it 2? might be more) second stun is ridiculous.

For melee champions - Not really
For ranged Champions - There are things that make a champion a good AD DPS. Like range, escape spells, steroids, good base Attack Speed, mobility, etc.
