Urobuchi (Psycho Pass, Fate0, Madoka) is handling the writing though and I remain unconvinced that he knows how to write actual characters instead of proselytizing mouthpieces.

Yea, but did anyone here actually say that it wasn't clear-cut?

I'm pretty sure Cudd did. I just wanted to make it clear that he was totally wrong and what people can and will call as the endgame is episode 1 is accurate. (And I still hold that being able to call the ending, in a general sense, is a good thing.)

Has anyone watched to love ru darkness
I hear it has a plot but im reluctant about watching all of to love ru to watch it
So is it worth watching

I doubt it. I tried to watch To Love Ru, but holy balls that anime is bad. It just doesn't understand that its jokes aren't funny enough to keep doing over and over again and lasts way too long.

Also, JoJo's bizarre adventure, how is it
Tonari no Kaibutsu-kun
Kamisama Hajimema****a
Zetsuen no Tempest
Shinsekai yori

Jojo's Bizarre Adventure is a very, very old-style shonen. I tried watching some of it with my brother, who thinks it's hilarious, but I seriously couldn't get into it even in an ironic way. I know a bunch of people who like the manga, so all I can really say is that I hope the anime is butchering it, because the anime is not very good. The poses, man. The ****ing poses. All the time.

Tonari no Kaibutsu-kun was fun. It could've been better, but overall it was a solid romantic comedy. You'll probably enjoy it, Cudd.

Kamisama Hajimema****a was a very typical shojo, honestly. I enjoyed it, but I'm a sap when it comes to shojo. It's nothing special, but you'll probably like it, Cudd.

Zetsuen no Tempest isn't over yet. It'll be ending this week, so I don't recommend starting it if you want to watch the whole thing in a blitz until at least Thursday. It's decent, but suffers hugely from the problem of not quite delivering on what it initially said that the story was going to be. Unlike some other anime that suffer from this problem (I'm looking at you, Shiki), it's still really enjoyable in spite of this, but I doubt I'm going to be able to say it's all that good. I'll post my impression of the ending later this week.

Shinsekai Yori was extremely interesting, if very dense and not properly explaining whats going on, for the first nine episodes of it that I watched. Unfortunately, in that time it was also extremely slow, and not in the nice-change-of-pace way. I ended up dropping it when it started to get more serious, because I wasn't sure why, in the narrative sense, things were happening any more, and I wasn't clear enough on what the story was enough for any of it to have any impact.

I'd add to that RDG Red Data Girl, I feel like it's soemthing big.

There are a couple torrents up on nyaa, but the file sizes worry me. I refuse to watch anime that isn't standard episode length, so I'm really hoping that the file sizes are due to low quality from the source material rather than episode length.

I don't know if I mentioned this already, but I watch a lot of anime.

I actually finished Eden of The East
The ending, while somewhat anticlimactic
Is very fulfilling and you feel good that you watched such a good anime

Baka, you should really watch it, i recommend just marathoning it.
Its a really good anime to marathon

The anime does this cool thing where it builds up tons of questions and keeps you wondering the entire time, and then answers all the questions on the last episode but with a twist.

I did feel that it was rushed. It felt like the producers were running out of time and JUST managed to get it done faster than they wanted without ruining it.

How many here have read Berserk or Shingeki No Kyojin?

____________

Sooo, a few days back when my internet decided to call it a day I decided to re-read Berserk cuz I had it downloaded.
And it's every bit as amazing as I remembered it.
I did notice more flaws this time around, the biggest one being a possible plothole (I have one theory which would work, but they never even bothered explaining it) in the first volume and kind of a minor disconnect between the first 2.5 volumes and the rest. Even the art changes, which leads me to believe that the first 2.5 volumes were made some time before the rest of them.

But enough of the bad things.
The humor is brilliant, the fights are epic, the story is amazing and the characters are interesting and well developed. (and the art is pretty decent, but gets really frickin' good later on)
I think it's probably still my favorite manga, but now it does have some competition from Shingeki No Kyojin :)

Also, there was "less" rape than I remembered, lol. There has been 2 attempted rapes and one actual rape(you'll never guess who. Seriously) in 8 volumes(where I stopped reading).
Maybe rape was a bigger deal when I was smaller(I was like 15 when I read it :3), cuz it doesn't leave as big an impression on me now :3

Don't worry, we still love you.

Tamako Market and GJ-bu ended yesterday. GJ-bu was, overall, pretty meh. I enjoyed it, and it's not bad, but it doesn't even vaguely resemble what I'd call good. Nichijou does basically everything it does (humor and some amount of being cute) better, but Nichijou also does a lot of other things too. Overall, GJ-bu is nice if you want to waste some time, but that's about it.

Tamako Market had a disappointing ending. It did resolve its central conflict (insofar as the characters the audience is supposed to care about are concerned), but it also included a bit of the standard anime nothing-actually-changes-even-though-stuff-happened ending as part of a pretty obvious setup for the possibility of a season 2 that still has the bird in it. The ending isn't bad, per se. It's actually pretty par for the course, where anime is concerned, and is certainly a lot better than a lot of anime endings. But the rest of the series set me up to hope for better, so it was kinda' a let down. I'd still say that Tamako Market is pretty good, but the ending is definitely part of why I can't honestly call it excellent.

Later, once I'm home, I'm going to put up some thoughts on anime endings.

For me, after I've finished Ano Hana, I decided to start watching Phantom: Requiem for the phantom. I'm at episode 4. So far, it seems...average if I might say. The characters aren't very appealing and he plot is still vague. They only have my attention at the moment, still waiting for them to have my curiosity, hoping Phantom will be worth my time especially since a lot of people praised it.

I've watched Berserk's anime, it was...almost decent. But from what I've heard, the manga is superb.

Shingeki No kyoujin, never heard of. I myanimelist-ed it, It seemed great from the synopsis, I don't know how good it is frankly. I hope it gets animated, I'm sure it could work out.

Shingeki no Kyojin is getting an anime :D
The first episode airs a few days from now.

Here's a trailer:
(it has more than 2.000.000 views, lol)

It certainly has some potential. I even heard there's gonna be good VAs in there. I just hope they stay true to the manga.

If there's any manga you read at all it should be Berserk. (if you can handle the mature themes)
It is utterly superb and in a league of its own.
Shingeki no Kyojin comes pretty close though, so that's another MUST read in my opinion.

I'll make it easy for anybody that wants to read it:
Download link for most Berserk chapters.(download for best quality)
Online reader for Berserk.
Online reader for Shingeki no Kyojin.
