so i've finally came to finalize my bulid and it's:

1 spirit of golem

3 ionian boots
4 liandry

1. hp, cdr, regens, tenacity
2. burn, hp, arm
3. cdr
4. hp, ap, burn
5. hp, ap, slow
6. hp, regen

that way im both tanky and still got plenty of damage, im big so i naturally blocks lots of space for enemy team to come in, that way i secure for me and my team a won match, sure i die pretty often but i also get lots of frags. last match i had 4/5/30

hey it's me again, updating this post to share my latest scores, luck is there i could try out finally a bulid with lots of magic resist and standard (unfinished one) that proves that my bulid is at it's best.

both versions works very good altough if i would get ionians in place of merc treads i would save my team ***es few times more as mostly it was like 0.5 sec till i could Q and knock them from my mates but in that place i had magic resist which helped me i think even more thus all the enemy team was heavy ap and they had feeded fiddle. So in long term perspective mercs was a better choice for heavy ap teams, other than that i would preffer ionians still.

You shouldn't get Mercury's Treads because Spirit of the Ancient Golem already has tenacity. If you really need MR, throw in a Negatron for an Abyssal or something, or you can even consider working on a Bulwark.

I still disagree with Ionians, but they can work.

Hmmm, mid could be risky. She has no poke whatsoever, so I imagine that you'd really have to win the lane or else you're dead.

Warmog's probably isn't mandatory, and Spirit might be optional as a laner.

I've rearranged the build some, so your comment may no longer apply as stated. :-o

I hope the changes are justified. I think the main idea - stacking flat MPen is the best way to get more damage out of Sej - still applies just like before.

hey im very fresh to sejuani but the way she is just got my heart, great mobility and cool abilities but just one thing bugs me like hell, a proper bulid FOR BOTTOM LANE! I don't jungle just yet because i dont have runes and it's a serious pain in *** to make it trough so i pick at the bottom line.

My usual bulid is:

1 spirit of golem
2 sunfire cape
3 ionian boots
4 warmong
5 roa / liandry / abyssal
6 spirit visage / twin shadows / liandrys

I wonder if there is anything to change... I was thinking on swapping roa with abyssal but... i have spirit visage so maybe liandrys torment? First of i rush spirit of golem ofc because of high hp, cd, and regens. Tenacity works well so that you dont need to get mercury treads. therefore i go into sunfire cape and to be honest i very rarely reach 4th item because then my team just wins (it might be due to my training sessions on intermediate bots) Some people says that i should bulid roa first, it ofc gives lots of sustain and you can keep on line longer... but somehow i just preffer spirit of golem(no idea why, just feels like it)

I was also messing some with rylais scepter, get it after sunfire = perma slow, some hp and ap. It's over all great item altough again this weird feeling that it is not really item sejuani likes. So if you got any idea how to solve my uneveniness about her building trough the game, please tell me.

I really need to update this guide after the rework and the change to Spirit of the Ancient Golem (Kindlegem instead of Giant's Belt, CDR instead of armor). Q scales with levels a lot better than it used to, and W is the opposite case.

1. This item is great. The new build path makes it a lot easier to build as an early item than anything that uses Giant's Belt. It's a legitimate item to rush in any lane.
2. Great item. Golem Spirit doesn't grant armor anymore, so it's worth getting this as an early armor item. Randuin's Omen is good if you really need help surviving their AD.
3. I don't think she really needs Ionians. CDR helps, but it isn't as strong as strong for her as it is on some champs. I'd go Sorc shoes or Tabi.
4. Another great item. I find that the passive helps more when you're ahead. If you're behind, you'll just get bursted and the regen won't matter.
5. You probably won't need the mana from RoA if you have Golem Spirit. Liandry's isn't always necessary, but Haunting Guise + Sorc Shoes (+ optional Abyssal, see how your AP champs are doing first) makes a big difference with all of the MPen. Just keep an eye on their builds and who's got the high scores when deciding whether to finish Liandry's. Haunting Guise and Sorcerer's Shoes is all you really need to do damage to carries, and you can build tank items after that.
6. I've never gotten Twin Shadows. Spirit Visage is something I sometimes get, but I have second thoughts just because the passive and CDR aren't that important on her. If you manage to rush Warmog's and get ahead, Spirit Visage can be nasty. Also maybe consider Bulwark if you really need MR.

Rylai's is something I don't tend to get because I don't like not getting the strong proc, and tankier items exist. It could be a useful follow-up to Liandry's in a long game, maybe.

MPen is just a great stat. AP is too risky to build too much of, especially when the MPen uses up most of your offensive stat money you really should be spending anyway. MPen and tank items is a pretty good balance on an offensive tank like her.

Great build, already upvoted, considering a scout point once you change some things.

First, Spirit Visage > Bulwark.

Bulwark is absolutely core on Sej, she's a teamfight champion who excels at that, and Bulwark is great for teamfights. It's also great for skirmishes, and is just great in general. Double Bulwark is also very strong imo, and since SV isn't actually that great on Sej, it should be easily replaced.

The second thing is BotRK. Simply the most OP item right now, it synergizes almost as well as Liandry's does on Sej. I would arguably say that Warmogs + Liandry's + BotRK are the only 3 items you need to maintain a threat level of -out of this world- all game long, and turn her from an Amumu clone into making that mummy cry tears. I can't even say how good it is, because it's power level is over 9000. That's how good it is.

the third thing is Spirit of The Ancient Golem. I can see this being good on Sej, I really can. But I just don't think it has a spot in her build. It delays your other items to much and doesn't contribute as much as Warmogs. It could def be an option if you decide to take Tabi or Sorc Shoes instead of treads though.

Please consider changing your guide so I can +scout, I really can't say how much I love Sej and how much I'd like to see a good guide for her come up.

I'll have to test Bulwark sometime, I guess. It is a generally good item on anyone for sure. I often just assume that the support is getting Aegis anyway. I just have a hard time fitting CDR into a build outside of Spirit Visage, and the Warmog's synergy is nice. The build path for Spirit Visage also lets you have one Negatron instead of NMM x2. But I'd have to play test to see if it feels like Bulwark's positives outweigh all of that.

BotRK is pretty messed up. It definitely isn't designed for her play style, so if it does work better than the competition, then it's a messed up item. I'd rather not go there. It's the only item in the game that can singlehandedly make Leona a reasonable duelist, so it's pretty messed up right now. I actually run a jungle Leona lately that usually has a BotRK, move 5 boots, and a Spirit of the Ancient Golem as her first 3 items.

About Spirit, the upgrade cost is 600 gold, and the armor/health stats gained from this alone are quite gold efficient, tenacity aside. In generic games, lately I go ahead and throw down the 600 before getting, perhaps, another Giant's Belt and a Negatron. You *can* just leave the Spirit Stone alone and rush Warmog's and then get Negatron and Sunfire or something and save Spirit Stone until the end, but the Spirit is such a low-hanging fruit that I tend to just go for it. With the Warmog's nerf, it's generally not worth rushing it unless you're ahead. It's sort of an "I'm ahead, so let's really really stay ahead" item more than it is just a generally strong item. If the other team can burst you in one stun, then the passive tends to not matter, turning it into overpriced health.

I don't know when I'll get a chance to try Bulwark, but that seems to be the important thing to you here so if I decide to do that sometime, I'll PM.

I'm not going to upvote since it's been a while since I've played Sejuani, so I don't exactly know what works on her, but in general, your guide is nicely formatted and minimalistic but to-the-point.

That is a beautiful title, by the way.

You have my upvote, junglers have become faster than ever and liandry's is the most broken item in game right now IMO. I played against a swain who singlehandedly killed three champions, without any previous kills, at lvl 8. I have yet to see a sejuani but based on the those two reasons alone I have complete faith that this build would be fairly effective in a ranked game.

.....ok, fixed it. This is the way I play her lately, and it's been much more consistent, sort of in the same way that the resists build used to be consistent in S2... only the new health approach in S3 is much more consistent.

MTaur (19) | January 26, 2013 8:50pm
I'm honestly considering a total overhaul here. Health is just a lot stronger in S3 than it used to be in S2, and by extension, health scaling is super awesome. Warmog's used to be suicide, but now it's raw pwnage. The original build as it stands now was written from the S2 mindset where resists beat out health by a long shot.

Spirit Stone + Sunfire + Sorc shoes, and then Warmog's is what seems to be working for me lately. (Optional Ninja Tabi instead as needed.)

Liandry's is great as a late item, or somewhat earlier if one or more bruisers become a priority target. MPen from Haunting Guise is likely to be useful in a variety of games, sometimes relatively early, like as a fourth item maybe. (Another reason to postpone Liandry's is that it scales with enemy stats. The passive would be 4x as good late-game as it would be if you could buy it at 1!)
