AD seems to be more usable on more champs. The lifesteal quints would mainly be for ADCs or Nasus. Meanwhile, you can use the AD quints on just about any AD champ. I bought the AD quints first, but am now working on saving to buy the Lifesteal ones.

Lifesteal quints are good on all AD champions. They allow you to start with a Doran's Blade which makes it impossible for anyone with Long Sword + 2 Health Potion to all in you and win (from full atleast)

I think that might be an over simplification. I think that they can be used effectively on all adcs in all matchups, but you can build ad quints on someone with high ad scaling like graves or varus in certain matchups to have greater all in/kill potential. But LS quints have way, WAY more utility and they make your laning phase a breeze. Get chunked? Just auto attack 10-20 times and you're full hp.
