It might help a little if you provided a little background about your strengths and weaknesses.
Sona is the face roll support. She has a great deal of poke and incredible utility with her skill set which includes a speed, slow, a stun, a good early poke, a heal, and a keytar to swoon you with.
As for Jarvin and Darius, I have never actually played them but I know a little bit about them. Jarvin is the "I'm helping" champion that makes you laugh your *** off when he pulls off a bad ultimate. He requires more skill to play successfully than Sona and arguably Darius. Darius is somewhat similar to the champions you already play, especially Garen, but he has more potential to carry and make people rage at you.

Jarvan is also okay in top lane though :)
Sona is definitely the most difficult champion compared to Jarv and especially Darius, since you'll have to know everything about her different stances.
Sona: support, easy basics but hard to master
Jarvan: jungler/top, only requires some common sense to play well
Darius: top/jungler, good pick-up for newer players due to low skill cap
So it depends what you are looking for ^^

Awesome tyvm for the advice. A little more about my play style would be, I like to deliver kills by the truckload but also understand that supporting my lane partner and jungling are just as important. I have only tried jungling once with Warwick and I didn't do too well. I love playing solo top withIrelia and tanking bot with Garen. I would like to learn a support position though.
I highly recommend
Jarvan IV out of those three. I used to main him for the whole year when he was released at first as a top laner. He's found a better spot as a jungler now, but he's still strong. He isn't really full of damage but he definitely has the kit to deliver kills to your teammates and he can be dangerous if given an early kill.
Sona is one of the top supports right now. She has strong poke and good utility for her team, but she's extremely fragile.
Darius isn't the best top laner. He has the kit to be a complete bully and zone someone out but he falls off quite hard late game and doesn't provide much utility past his pull.
I main top lane and have played all three champions. Jarvan has proven to be my favorite of these three, although I don't play him anymore, at least in top lane.

I recommend Jarvan IV because he can top, jungle, and do some troll both team comp :D.
Thank you jhoijhoi, Keondre, LaCorpse, The_Nameless_Bard, Arcana3, Apfeljack, Hogopogo, eddie199, Xiaowiriamu, and JEFFY40HANDS for the spectacular sigs!

From personal experience if you are support or jungle you will take often take all the blame if/when your team loses. These positions also require a great deal of map awareness and good communication with team. If you've never played a role before (Like jungle) you will likely be exceptionally bad at it the first few times around. Junglers are more important in lane phase but a support can/will turn the tides of a team fight during later game.

I am thinking about picking up a new Champion and want some advice. The 3 I am looking at are Sona, Jarvin, and Darius. What are your thoughts on all 3, strengths and weaknesses. In the end what is your overall pick. I currently play Garen, Kayle, and Irelia the most. I'm trying to expand my skill set.
