Your NA LCS all-stars head to Shanghai

Posted by Magus on Wed, 2013-05-01 14:02

The 2013 League of Legends All-Star Weekend takes place in Shanghai from May 24 to May 26. Five teams representing the pro leagues in North America, Europe, China, Korea and Southeast Asia / Taiwan will clash at the Shanghai Grand Stage.

There are five regions attending, but only the top four will claim a bye for their region's top seed into the quarterfinals at the Season 3 World Championship. The team that wins it all also secures a coveted extra spot for their region at the Championship to go along with bragging rights as best pro region in the world at the break.

We tallied your votes and revealed the North American all-star team; now let's meet the players you chose:

Leading the way with more than 590,000 votes, William "Scarra" Li will represent North America in the mid lane. Scarra's innovative and effective play during the LCS helped the young Texan stand out over ten weeks of intense competition. Scarra heads to China ready to battle, having led Dignitas to a 61% winning percentage over the NA LCS Spring Split and a 100% win rate with Diana, his most-played champ.

TSM's deadly top laner, Marcus "Dyrus" Hill, was the second-highest vote earner. More than 550,000 of you picked him to join the team. Dyrus hit 13.0 KDA during Week 9, demonstrating mastery of his lane just in time to show off his skills in China.

Prowling the jungle, Brandon "Saintvicious" DiMarco reigns as the oldest member of the NA team at 25. Well-known for his carry-jungler style of play from Season 2, Saint has adapted well to the subtle shifts of the LCS metagame. His leadership and early aggression have catapulted Curse to an impressive 68% win rate during the NA LCS Spring Split, cementing them as one of the best teams in the region.

Alex "Xpecial" Chu channeled his inner Sona and had 40.22% of voters dancing his way. As support for TSM Snapdragon's new bot lane, Xpecial specializes in champs with potent lockdown potential. Only 20 years old, his 5.0 KDA over the first split of the season illustrates his success, and there's no doubt he's looking to leave his mark in Shanghai.

Peter "DoubleLift" Peng from Counter Logic Gaming heads to China as your choice for AD carry. Considered one of the best duo lane players in the world, DoubleLift brings his brand of high-impact damage, technically precise play and a Spring Split KDA of 3.63 (152/75/120) to Shanghai.

Check out the video to find out what All-Star selection means to your favorite players and remember to watch the All-Star games live from Shanghai starting on May 24th.

There is a EU Allstars video.

Still not sure how I feel about Scarra being the midlaner. He's been performing poorly recently. MandatoryCloud would have been a better choice I think.

in china.... why china? well I hope Chinese will not try to do something stupid to Taiwanese team because we all know what chinese people like to do... eg. no Taiwanese people's flag, making taiwanese team said they are one of the chinese team or something like that... please don't make that happen...
