Has this been happening to you guys lately?
I get someone that is below 1200 when I'm above 1350. Then I win and I only get like 4 or 6 rating despite the other team doing quite well because of their higher rating people.

I know its probably just people queueing with smurfs.

It happens because if you are solo queuing, you will be randomed with ANY 4 other people. The average ELO on your team should equal, the average ELO of theirs, regardless of elo. I queued with 1850's yesterday (atlanta, 3xecutioner, etc) and waited for 20 mins in queue, then went 5v5 vs. 1400's.. It happens.

To have a better chance of getting people around your elo, I suggest finding a friend around your elo. That will reduce the chances of you possibly getting queued with others queued with smurfs.
