Is there a reason c2v is capped at the absurdly low number of 20 votes? Every time I publish a guide I get 20 upvotes followed by 10 straight downvotes with no comment. Can we please raise c2v to 50 to dilute cowards downvoting? If I have 48 upvotes and 2 downvotes, cowardly downvotes won't sting as bad as if I had 20 upvotes and then 5 coward downvotes.
Why is c2v so low?
Same thoughts here for the same problems. I support the idea of making it 50.

has been suggested many times before, sorry.

Or make C2V a toggle that never expires. There is no legitimate reason to allow it to expire after X votes.

Someone told me it's because people won't even vote because C2V is on sometimes, therefore guides can only get upvotes at times.
HAHAHAHAHA are you serious. If they had a legitimate reason to downvote they can just type "I don't like this guide because X, -1". Takes 5 seconds. Only trolls would refuse to vote when C2V is enabled.

You haven't been along long enough.
Some people press the downvote button and type '.' lol. Or they used to. It even happens with upvotes.

Revenge downvotes were, and still are, a really powerful force. The topic you're on has been discussed a lot on here before.
The main thread topic though, I would not be opposed to increasing the C2V limit, but I think that's been discussed as well, and wouldn't change much, if anything. You're still going to get those downvotes, only the timing of them changes.
EDIT:

I think after 20 votes it should just ask the person voting if THEYD LIKE TO COMMENT, that way the option is still there and theres a brief second for someone to think up some criticism before they click the button.
I believe this has been brought up before and would make a really good addition to the voting process.

You need to log in before commenting.
