For those interested some people put together a Fantasy League of Legends site for pro players, I think it looks cool so I've decided to make a league (details found here) for anyone interested in Mobafire.

And since I haven't done a blog in a while I've decided to post this as my blog. Basically I'm going to break down my draft order which is an easy way to give some insight into the pro scene. I might do another blog in the future actually explaining my thoughts about the current pro scene (not involving some fantasy draft which obviously skews my picks. It's also important to note that these are only NA and EU professional players, so in that regard the two regions are isolated and this does factor into some play.

So let's get this out of the way, my fantasy team which would never exist would be:
  • Top - Voyboy - NA - Curse
  • Jungle - Diamondprox - EU - Gambit
  • Mid - Alex Ich - EU - Gambit
  • Support - Xpecial - NA - TSM
  • ADC - Doublelift - NA - CLG

It might actually surprise some people that I've taken more people from NA, but it really doesn't surprise me. As far as individual skill, NA has among the best, even if EU is a strong region overall. NA is definitely lacking in Jungle, and as for mid lane, it is by far the most competitive position in the entire world, EU is just absolutely stacked in mid lane. I can't wait for the summer split because probably 6 of the top 10 mid players in the world are in EU, and hell even tabzz is probably a top 10 if he were still a mid lane player.

Now that brings us into strategic picking. I may ruffle a few feathers by saying NA has better ADC's. Sorry, but it's flat out true. Doublelift, Wildturtle, Imaqtpie are top 3 and even Zuna and Dontmashme are strong enough to hold their own. EU on the other hand is pretty lacking. Really the only competitive ADC's I see in EU are Genja and Candy Panda. Strategically picking, because NA is more stacked at ADC than EU I'd probably want to consider picking Genja or Candy Panda over an NA carry because they'll probably have an easier time, with that being said, we have to take the obvious chance that Ocelote will probably manage to implode SK single-handidly again.

Upon further examination, we also want to strategically pick players who will get us a lot of points. Someone like Voyboy will rack up points easily because of his aggressive kill-you-dead-over-and-over mentality in addition to the fact that he is a very strong 1v1 player. This is probably also true for someone like Froggen or Alex Ich who are very strong 1v1 mechanical players. However, as I said earlier, EU is stacked in mid so it may be worth it to grab an NA mid even if they are pretty abysmal.

Now let's get in to more picks:

It's a pretty complete list in my opinion but it also factors in their opponents. I know earlier I said that EU probably has 6 of the top 10 mid's in the world and I truly believe that, I'm not saying that MandatoryCloud is better than any mid's in EU, I'm putting him 5th because the competition he faces is lower than that of other mids.

This is stating to become a long post so I'm going to add two final sections. The first section will be sleeper pick's, or basically picks that you can get for a steal and reasons why. The second section will be picks to stay away from.

Sleeper Picks:

And finally, picks to stay away from:

let me know what you think and pick some of your own sleeper picks for LCS as well as picks that might struggle (doesn't have to be in regards to a Fantasy League either)
