The objectives part is good. I hope you can write a general guide for that. Many players always skips objectives because of creeps. WTF.

Yea true. The scenario kind of assumes Cho'Gath is initiating and in the lead though.

Thanks for the review :]

However, as for the "protect corki vs kha'zix thing" it really comes down to the fact that Cho'Gath is actually an innately ****ty peeler if he's in the front line for ADC's. It would be FAR easier for him to protect Kha'zix who is standing next to him, as opposed to running back out of the frontline to go help Corki, especially because his "peeling" is unreliable at range.

That's only if you're in the front line with khazix. You could just as well peel in the back line with your low CDs on your rupture and silence. And you have a nice chunk of true damage to help fight off whoever is on your adc.

Da Review!

I'm going to start with the basics then get to the actual guide (The part where you talk about how to play Cho'gath):

1st build:

Runes are good.

Starting items are fine, but I never would exceed 3 mana pots. I know they are going to nerf health pots, but until then, 4 mana pots is way too much when you could have another one or two health pots.

Build is fine.

2nd build:

Runes are good though as a jungler, it's much better to take scaling MR rather than flat, because you're not exposed to constant magic damage, so by the time where MR becomes important for a jungler, the scaling will have surpassed flat. The item build should look more along the lines of a full tank build with CDR rather than AP. Twin shadows might be the only AP item, maybe abyssal scepter depending on the situation, that I'd keep, because of the mobility it provides and the security it gives your ruptures. I'm also a bit iffy on sunfire cape, when randuin's is a much stronger option. Shurelia's could also take the place of twin shadows. It'd actually be a bit better. Abilities are fine, but for masteries I wouldn't put point into unyielding or block. Those are strictly for laners. I'd also take the 2 points out of the MR option and put the remaining 5 into tenacious and relentless, as they really improve your role as a tank, especially the later the game gets.

Now to the build:

Went over a bunch of it. Just a few things I want to point out. Later in the game, it'd actually be better to protect Corki rather than kha'zix. ADC's will always output more damage than an assassin or someone who has to jump in. Even if corki can escape, the enemy can still zone him out of the fight which means he's not dealing damage. Of course, the rule of thumb is, if there's someone on your team who's doing more damage than anyone on the enemy protect them, and if there's an enemy doing more damage than any of your team, go for them. In terms of adcs, if your adc is strong, protect them. If the enemy is stronger, attack them. But if you're going to peel, always do it for your adc. Sometimes, for your APC, if they are dishing out sustained damage of a similar level to an adc.

For your objective section just be well aware if you win a fight early game and you don't have the damage to fully push down a tower, it's always better to just go for dragon, because if you can't take the tower out in time, then you get no gold as opposed no extra map pressure but 1k gold from dragon. And I'd normally only go for the mid tower as opposed to a side tower when face with the tower/dragon decision, because side towers are a lot easier to take out than the mid one.

OVERALL: You've got good stuff, and you definitely explain how to play Cho'gath. Of course, it never hurts to add more information about what to do on the rift, but you definitely meet requirements. +1 here. I also really like the layout and the tone of the whole thing.

Wow, thanks for the very detailed review. I'll admit though that the reasoning for writing the guide in the fashion I did was not to make it "Artsy" it was merely because I was bored and wanted to do something different to make it more entertaining to read. :p

I will take all your suggestions under consideration once I get my items section nailed out and Ill ask for a re-visit ^^
