I'm just going to quote this, and let your imagination do the rest :P

Oh boy, silly grammar that allows double meanings.

Lemme change:
The mother directly feeds these cells, by just eating food herself
Change is gooooood

I approve.

I'm now 100% ok with abortion.

Thank you Miss Maw, CasterMaster and Arcana3 for the sweet sigs. I'd definitely recommend you to anyone looking for a nice sig.

There are all sorts of possible definitions for life and MRSNERG is not necessarily a standard. Viruses aren't life under it, but some feel they should be. What about prions? Life could be defined as the vessels through which DNA proliferates (what about RNA viruses?) however some broad definitions of life qualify entities such as the stars as living.

I like this point. +1 Rep.

Your use of incorrect is incorrect, lol.
What I said about cells is fact and good luck disproving it.

A fertilized egg is much different than that of just sperm or an unfertilized egg. At this point the egg metabolically excretes waste and absorbs nutrients. To put it into perspective, hypothetically, if we found a fertilized egg on Mars, it would be heralded by the scientific community as life. It fits all the criteria for life. Yet, for some reason, on this planet, it's not considered life. Why?

I never said anything about life, your entire argument is moot.

Ok, I think this site explains it pretty simply if anyone is confused about how sperm and eggs aren't the same as embryos / fetuses: https://www.23andme.com/gen101/origins/ It even has a super cool video if you are too lazy to read!

In essence, sperm and eggs are haploid cells. This means they contain 1 set of 23 chromosomes. When sperm fertilizes egg they combine their chromosomes to make a diploid cell that contains 2 sets of 23 chromosomes. Most animals have diploid cells, including us. Sperm and eggs are gametes, or reproductive cells. They cannot grow into anything on their own and are not complete without eachother. When the sperm fertilizes the egg they combine their chromosomes and make a diploid zygote, that is a complete cell chromosome and DNA wise. This single zygote cell is what makes every person, after it goes through many changes of course.

That's why saying if you consider killing an embryo / fetus murder then you should consider masturbation / ovulation as genocide is just... wrong. If you still disagree with this I'm really not going to bother arguing / explaining any more and if you want to research more you can do it yourself.

The cells of a baby and a fetus clearly differ, at least to some degree, so why should they be grouped together while sperm/eggs and fetuses shouldn't?
The fertilized egg still needs a bunch of requirements filled to evolve into a baby.
There's still just a one step difference between the fertilized egg and the egg/sperm; the fertilization.

And so Blizzard sent unto them this Brawl of Yogg, As a lesson for their sins of Pride and Greed, for he is the Prophet of Madness and RNG. On that day, the tavern descended into an era of chaos and darkness, until the weekend passed and everyone forgot all about it. Amen. Book of SMOrc, Verse 20, Chapter 4." - Feam T

This isn't Pokemon (sorry the way you said that just seemed ridiculous). The requirements necessary for it to "evolve" into a baby are simply taking in energy and growing. This is exactly the same as an 8 yr old eating food and growing. Humans cells continue to divide to build more of the body or replace damaged tissue etc throughout their life, so saying "it's not a human because it's just a bunch of cells dividing" doesn't really make sense in my opinion. Not saying you said that but others have.

Sperm and eggs are not genetically identical to the person they grow into, embryos are. Embryos are the start of you as a person. Before the embryo your chromosomes / DNA aren't set. Once fertilization occurs they are. There's no way a sperm or egg alone can be considered a human being by any definition.

There's a one step difference between salt and hydrochloric acid. That doesn't mean that hydrochloric acid is close enough to salt, and I wouldn't recommend putting it on your food. Obviously a more extreme case but my point is the components do not equal the result.
