Even though Bleach screwed up towards the end, I can't help but admit that the manga version of Naruto and the first chapters of Bleach are more than decent. One piece just wasn't catching his attention because of the 700+ chapters and still going. I feel bad for the guy, you bashed him based on the anime whereas he was talking about the manga.[/quote]

It's most certainly NOT something I'd call good though. Naruto is a cut above Bleach, almost being something I'd call good. And One Piece is another cut above Naruto, being pretty good overall. He does seems like a pretty clueless mainstream reader/watcher, but I think you may have been slightly too harsh for a first comment. Recommend something good first and tell him why the ones he's reading/watching are bad, THEN tell him he's a moron if he disagrees in a generally stupid manner.
