Yes you should, if you like sci-fi/time travel stuff and have a good sense of humor. I would say start with the first season of the new lot although I started at season 5 myself and still haven't watched season 7.
If I have helped in anyway at all a +rep will be appreciated lots

Thanks to LaCorpse, Hogopogo and JhoiJhoi for the amazing sigs

It's probably easier to start at the reboot, yes. It's a continuation of the classic series, but you don't need to know anything about it. (There's a tutorial mode.) The Doctor will talk about something called "The Time War", but you aren't missing anything... It happened off-screen.
If you can watch the reboot up to the end of season 7 by November 23rd, you'll be caught up in time for the anniversary.
hi embracing. yes i play ff14 now.
I figured as much. Watched two episodes and the 9th doctor touched on it briefly so I get the jist, he's an alien who changes form and all that. Stuff like the time Travel and the TARDIS get explained or is that just some kind of assumed information?
Umm idk I had a friend explain it all to me but it should seeing as there was such a long break between the original series and the reboot.

DO it. You won't regret it ;)
And yeah, starting with the reboot would probably be the best idea. The TARDIS and the time travel all get explained in the first season/ some of the first episodes(In the reboot)

I watched one of the alleged best episodes according to a fan: Blink.
It was pretty good, but if that was one of the best then I'm not sure I'd find the rest all that great.. (it didn't hook me)
I also find the paradoxical things kinda.. off-putting.
Still, I've yet to make a choice on whether to drop it or not. Any reasonable person that wants to tell me why/why not?

Can't really tell you why/why not. Just check out some of the first episodes. If you get hooked keep watching, if you don't, well don't. It's an amazing series, but I guess it's not for everyone. Starting at the reboot would be a good idea. I myself haven't gotten to watching the classics yet.
Well, 7 episodes into the season with the 9th doctor.
My thoughts;
I hated the music and camera work of the first episode, but that seems to have been fixed somewhat.
The story is fun and I like the humor (even if I miss some British quips).
9th doctor is admirably happy all the time. (Fantastic!)
I hated the CGI and other effects at first but now they are rubbing off on me as "novelty" or "so bad they are amazing and will be in my heart forever", so to speak.
Pretty fun show so I'll keep going with it.
Sidenote, I have not slept this night.

Everyone's so excited about this new Doctor or whatever and I kinda wanna be up to speed so I don't feel stupid when all my friends talk about it.
So yay or nay?
