Congratulations Pheyniex, you are the first person to post something I have absolutely never heard of, and thoroughly enjoyed. +rep
no. you think you didn't know about it and never heard of it. Also, the matrix is making you think you gave me +rep.

You know what's fun? Metal covers of non-metal songs. Let's have some covers.
Here's a cover of R.E.M.'s Losing My Religion, done by Graveworm. It sounds very different when it's done in black metal style.
Graveworm - Losing My Religion
and also this one that has hooked me for the past 4 months:
The Unexpect track is really interesting, Pheyniex. I'm pretty sure I like it.
Here's one from a band I've been into in a pretty big way for the past few months. This song has an official music video, but it doesn't sound quite as good as the album version.

Someone already posted some Amaranthe, but here's one of my favorite songs from them - The Nexus.
<3 I love Amaranthe.

I prefer their cover of "Black tears" on that album ;] on that note heard their new album? has an amazing cover of "Valhalla" by Blind guardian. Hansi Kursch is even singing in it. :D
Black Tears was how I discovered the band, actually. I'm also a big fan of The Bombs of My Saviours (woo British spelling!).
I didn't even know they had a new album. I'll give it a shot, but I'm not terribly enamored of any of their work other than Iconoclast.
Anyway, moar metul!
Bloodbath - Buried by the Dead
The Black Dahlia Murder - On Stirring Seas of Salted Blood
