I had this in my last game where I ended up getting all bar 1 or 2 of my teams kills with 19 of my own as we had two first time players who were just feeding. I just try and play smart and not give myself up for kills and use the feeders are bait to draw out the enemy and then attack them. I would say playing with friends is defiantly the best way to combat this!

When a game is going badly i find its mostly because no one is communicating and doing their own thing. they arent pinging they are calling mia's they aren't warding and then to cover their mistakes instead of realising what they did wrong they blame the closest person there is. i'll quote Pølsêmanden on this one from his mini guide to carrying. What most team need is a leader. someone to engage on a conversation.

I played a game yesterday where we were completely losing me and some randoms in 5 v 5s. mid inhibitor was gone and everything. at that point i was ready to smack most of my teammates for making poor plays and engaging when they shouldn't. i took it upon myself with all my skills i was pinging my mia's i was even pinging danger zones on where i knew the enemy would be. I forced 4 of my teammates to do baron while their jungler was out. and then we aced them like 3-4 times in a row. as a team we took what was fed enemies that we possibly would never had beat if no one had took the lead. i split pushed with teleport on top and bot while they pushed mid. when major teamfights came around i would run in and do my thing.

Leads like i said create communication which in turn makes plays. This is my two cents on this. so even if you have one who flames and blames. you can lead the other 3 into something because for one no one wants to listen to the flamer anymore and at some point the flamer will start listening too. why? because everyone who plays this game have one thing in common... and that is to win!

Muting people in ranked makes you just as bad as the person causing the problem. It doesn't matter how *****y he is, you still need to communicate with him.
What I do is think this before I respond:
1. will my comment be meaningful to the game
2. is my comment aggressive in any way

If you can say yes to the first, and no to the second, go ahead and say it. Otherwise, fix it up if its the second problem, or don't post at all if its the first one.
This will stop an argument happening between you, even if you can't stop others from doing the same thing. Not only will you be less angry and affected, which improves your gameplay, but it is less likely they will start feeding or go afk to spite you.

there is more you can do, but this should generally make your ranked experiences a lot less aggravating whilst helping out your games.
thanks Hogopogo for the banner :D
