"I sexually Identify as an Attack Helicopter. Ever since I was a boy I dreamed of soaring over the oilfields dropping hot sticky loads on disgusting foreigners. People say to me that a person being a helicopter is Impossible and I’m ****ing ******ed but I don’t care, I’m beautiful. I’m having a plastic surgeon install rotary blades, 30 mm cannons and AMG-114 Hellfire missiles on my body. From now on I want you guys to call me “Apache†and respect my right to kill from above and kill needlessly. If you can’t accept me you’re a heliphobe and need to check your vehicle privilege. Thank you for being so understanding." - Guuse

Given the amount of documents leaked, it's likely that Manning hasn't even been charged with the full range of possible charges, which the government could hold onto until their statute of limitations runs up.
I reality, I don't think Manning could see this going any other way. Soldiers are briefed about how severe penalties for leaking even the tiniest bit of non-public information can be. She knew what would happen and she chose to follow through. As I haven't had the time to read the documents leaked, I can't comment on how just or unjust this sentence is on a moral level.

Also, I think the levels of immorality in this thread are astounding. You'd really throw a child off a boat for your own luggage? Wow.

Both.
"I saw [Twilight: Eclipse] in theaters with a girl I was dating at the time. I spent more time staring at my toes and wiggling them than I did watching this abomination. When Edward proposed to Blank Face, I finally looked up with a revelation.
I blurted out loud, in a dead silent theater full of teenage girls on opening night "Wait a minute, Edward has no blood flow. How does he get an erection?" I heard several men laughing, and had several girls turn and stare at me.
I did not get laid that night." - Berengier817

35 years isn't that harsh considering he avoided life in prison for major classified leaks.
You know the justice system in your country is ******** when someone who revealed some secrets gets 35 years, but actual war criminals like **** Cheney get nothing.
**** Cheney was convicted by the Kuala Lumpur council, which has absolutely no legitimacy and no legal basis. It's not even recognized by the UN. So he's no more a war criminal than if joe schmo down the street were to declare him a war criminal

Might be, but he wants to be a lady, who are you/we to deny him his request?
And he could've gotten away with it, but his gender issues made him confide in someone he shouldn't have trusted.
He has a *****. That's a guy.
It's scary that people like you exist, who would knowingly encourage a mentally handicap man to want to pursue such fantasies.

Ze government get it's powers from the consent of the governed, as stated in both the constitution and the UDHR, but if ze people don't know about it, does the government have the authority to do it?
Exactly, my boy/middle aged man/old man!
