Actually, they have some things similar, but all in all, they are way different. While Lux all of the time stays far back and can build really squihsy, Morgana rather has to go into the middle of the fight in order to use the ultimate and for that has to build tanky. While Lux is rather based on doing as much damage as fast as possible to the enemy in lane, Morgana is rather a sustained farmer.
Using them together could work really well, as they compliment each other.
