Hi! Thanks for this amazing guide, shen is now one of my main toplaners in ranked (and by main i mean i only play two and he's one of them), and i'm doing really well since i've read this guide.

I know you said you weren't gonna discuss other matchups, but if you (or anyone else, all help is very appreciated) could help me with the shen-ryze matchup, that'd be great. I'm in gold5, trying to make my way to plat (still far away, i know), and gosh, this toplane ryze is like every 8 out of 10 games. I don't really know what to do, should i change my runes, masteries, my classic doran shield start ?

good guide, but in the stats section it says you only get 10% CD reduction, that's not true... you'll get 15% because of the masteries ;)

Well you definitely make good guides.
I bought Shen this week cause it was sales and he was in it, and I have too few top laners.
I'll try it with your build tonight and tell you if I did well.

Hi gleebglarbu. I am using your guide and it's terrific. I also build Trinity Force on Shen too and also found out that Iceborn Gauntlet also has a place on Shen. Would you consider using it for additional Armor, CDR, 125% aoe spellbalde, and an additional 30 AP like TF though 500 mana is wasted but what about you? What can you say about this item? Thanks.

This guide is really good and in-depth, but you could update it to the current patch ( Vladimir won't use Spirit of the Spectral Wraith etc. and add items like Wit's End or Atma's Impaler to situational items. These are just suggestions but dont forget that I like your guide the way it already is +1.

Great guide. I started Shen last night (As he is on free week), and with the help of your guide, I fell in love with him after about half a dozen very successful games. I'll put a lot more work into him now.

Also, if you take the time to respond, what are your thoughts on building Attack Speed (Nashor's Tooth?) or AP (Rylai's Crystal Scepter or Zhonya's Hourglass)? I do of course mean this as a very late game kind of thing, or mid game, if you were to become fed.
