With the everyone playing on 3.14, I've been thinking about how the meta might change in the coming months and while browsing lolesport.com I read some of the stuff on the patch. One of the comments was made by C9 Hai saying that he believes that there is room for a support in both long lanes.

I came here curious what you all thought of this idea, if any of you guys have tried it (either before or after 3.14) and any combos you guys could come up with. I have a few lanes I want to try out.
Rumble and Leona
Vladimir and Lulu
Wukong and Taric

Any thoughts?

it will either leave an ADC bot lane without help or the jungle open. either way its not going to be worth much of anythng over the current meta unless a team is dead set on shutting down the top laner. even then it allows too much snowball for the open spot you sacrifice to put a 5th man in lane. it would be better to have a jungler start in teh bot jungle and rotate up and then help out lane.

Since supports can get quite a bit of gold now, i could see this happening.
2-1-2 lanes would leave the jungle wide open, but in terms of gold, it is entirely possible that the non-jungling team would get a gold lead, since supports can actually make money now, and having a duo lane top will lock down gold income that a solo lane could get. Depending on the duo top lane composition, it may be hard to successfully gank, too.
The one nasty drawback that has always come to hurt non jungling teams has to do with buff & neutral creep control though.

Also, the mid lane may feel particularly unsafe, seeing that there would be few windows of opportunity for ganks.
If I helped you out, be sure to throw me a +Rep!

With the Targon's nerf, I think this isn't as good now. It was quite good for a while though.

But... no jungle control, dragon and baron will be harder to get, no counterganks (except mid roams), open jungle which leads to numerous gank paths, a very vulnerable mid lane, etc. Many problems.

I think that a good ganking jungler would put as much pressure on all enemy lanes as the duo top lane would on the opposing top laner. I might be wrong though.
