Just torrent photoshop if you don't want to pay for it.
Piece looks amazing though! No border?
Thanks, but I have Photoshop Elements (older version though), and I appreciate the developers over at Adobe enough not to do that :P
Its a mixture of not having enough time/losing interest that led up to me cancelling my Adobe Cloud subscription.

@iPod It's more that pirating photoshop is pretty riduculous when you can use gimp to make equal quality things.

But once you use photoshop it's really hard to switch to gimp.
I tried and had a lot of trouble finding where things were, and I was back to photoshop within a day.
In my opinion, that's a cop-out. It's possible going from gimp to ps is easier (which I've done more than once at this point), but that seems pretty unlikely. There are free (and completely legal :P) plug-ins that make gimp even more like ps. Gimp also uses the same fonts and brushes for the most part, not to mention has most of the same filters or very similar ones (and plug-ins you can download that add more). I admit people who are used to ps are generally harder to teach to use gimp, but that's mostly because a lot of them come into it with the attitude that gimp isn't as good or worth learning not because they can't find things. Not saying that was the issue for you at all, just that it's a common problem I've dealt with when ps users have asked me to teach them to use gimp.
