An autoattack reset is an activation that allows an instant re-use of auto attack like Nasus Q or Blitzcrank E. Miss Fortune's Q is a targeted ability, BUT acts similar as an auto attack (like Gangplank's Q). Wards cannot be targeted by abilities, therefore you cannot destroy them with MF's Q.

As Meiyhje said, it is not an auto attack reset, but it does deal similar damage. The guides probably mention it that way, as (assuming you have godly reflexes) you can go AA then about .2 seconds later activate her Q. It makes it harder to hit, and basically does more damage in a smaller time frame, which may be relevant in terms of attack range.

Everyone else has answered it, technically not an auto-attack reset, but can be used in between auto attacks for a pretty strong succession of damage. It's very hard to trade back from auto-Q-auto, especially if you have Impure Shots up

I've been reading some MF guides and they all say that it is, but it doesn't say so in the tooltip or in LoL wiki. I myself personally tried it, and I don't see it to be so, seeing as I can't take out wards with AA>Double Up>AA. I read that it only seems that way at lower levels because your AS is still low, so the animation isn't very noticeable, but I'm still not too sure. Thanks.
