Hi there, first off i'd like to blatantly state that im not pro. Im just a silver player on the rise. Im here to tell you one strategy I've been using that has yet to fail me. Now of course people complain about ELO hell and to an extent... It may actually be real. League is a team game. That is crucial to keep in mind when queuing up for ranked. That being said, you can improve your chances of winning by just listening to what I have to say and following these VERY simple steps.

1) WIN YOUR LANE! Regardless of where you're playing this is a MUST! Now of course you winning your lane doesn't guarantee a victory. Winning your lane is the first step toward winning a game because if you can win your lane, that means that the enemy team is down one man. (Figuratively speaking... Due to the slanted income/deaths the enemy accumulated because you PWNED HIS FACE!)

2) Once you win your lane it is CRUCIAL to tell your jungle that your lane has been won. Countless times you will see junglers ganking a winning lane. Im not saying this is a bad thing but overkill is a huge "NO NO" in ranked. Once your lane is won you NEED to tell your jungler so he doesn't waste time ganking a lane that's already miles ahead. Instead, simple type to your team "Hey im fine in so and so lane feel free to stop ganking here and pressure other areas on the map." In telling your jungle that you're fine, you set up opportunities across the Rift to allow your teammates to get as ahead as you are.

3) Short and sweet: BUY WARDS AND PLACE THEM EVEEEEEEERRRRRRRRRYYYWWWHEEEEEEEEEERRRREEE. Notice how I said BUY wards. Your trinket ward is nice but 1 minute of vision is useless when it comes to mid game. I try to tell my teams to buy atleast 3 greens and a pink every game. This will help supplement the money your support will be spending and might even allow him/her to get useful items like locket/talisman that much sooner! :)

4) Last but definitely not least: Be a damn human being. Im not saying go all, bake cookies for your team and mail them out to their individual houses. Although that would be great... I like oatmeal cookies if anyone's getting any ideas. But seriously, these are all real people you're playing with and they deserve to be treated as such. You'd be surprise just how far a single compliment can take another player. A simple Nice work! Or really nice job (Insert champion name here)! Is all you need to do.

Disclaimer- I can honestly tell you that following these steps will help you improve because my elo has been on the rise. I sat down one night and genuinely thought up these ideas to help improve not only my play but the communities. Lastly, I'd like to also throw in that a bunch of buddies and myself have put together a ranked team and even went above and beyond to make our own YouTube channel. Im not here to promote my team (not a bad thing though wink wink) but if you ever get the chance and enjoyed my short guide feel free to drop us a comment and let us know how were doing, thumb up a video or two and maybe even subscribe to our channel :)) Thanks again guys!

A good start, i suppose, but there's certainly much more to talk about. I think getting out of ELO hell extends beyond the game to things like attitude, momentum, confidence, and knowledge of LP mechanics. I firmly believe that the worst games are lost before they even start - People in ranked are too terrified to queue dodge, even though the penalty for their first queue dodge is 3 points, which is superficial compared to the 12-18 points that could be lost from throwing a game. It's a little hard to do the math precisely, but if - at the end of champion select, you gauge your likelihood of winning, and find it to be less than 45%, it is strongly advisable to queue dodge.

Another thing that's very important in ranked is that you have a duo partner, and both of you share the same positive mindset. While it's not good to yell at your teammates during a game, ff you find yourself yelling at your duo queue partner - at all - in game, or out of game, you are putting yourself at a severe disadvantage. Your duo queue partner is supposed to be there to give you a sense of comfort in the normally stressful ranked environment, and also provide consistently okay plays.

Winning your lane is pretty important in ranked, but in my opinion, not always mandatory depending on the circumstance. If you have a champion who can splitpush so well that nobody on the other team can duel him, maybe it's best that he gives up his tower for more opportunity to farm.

In other cases, it's really bad if you lose lane. If you have an assassin reliant team, it's hard for them to really get out of control if neither the outer mid turret, or the outer bot turret are gone, as the turret gives a champion a safe space to protect themselves - while also granting vision.

Not going to lie - buying wards really helps out your team clamp down on vision - especially after an early game lead. 3 greens and 1 pink may be a little excessive on some champs though; TBT i'd put more emphasis on the pinks, as if you are ahead, it's more important that the opposing team doesn't know where you are, in addition to you knowing where your opposing team is.

Lastly, know how to push down turrets, siege them, and initiate fights. That right there has probably won me about 70-80% of the games i've played as morgana support

Again, good start to a guide though
If I helped you out, be sure to throw me a +Rep!

The thing that's helped me the most is trying to minimize my mistakes. Basically, play smart and let your opponents outplay themselves. I would rather have two wins with a score of 2-3-7 and 0-3-3 than play super aggressive winning with a 20-0 score and single handedly losing games with an 0-8-0 score.

You should also watch informative high elo streams. How are you supposed to climb if you don't know what better play is?
