On your defensive tree, I don't understand why you wouldn't go for Enchanted Armor x2. If you use armor seals as well as marks / quintessences (though very unlikely) would give you about 1.5 extra armor, mainly for early game. This doesn't scale horribly into late game either, and he's got plenty of sustain from his Biscuits. I really like this guide by the way, thanks for helping me be a Manly Mustache Man with Braum.

i always max E first .. charge into dat damage so adc can come behind and take out anyone and clean up then max Q... the best method ive found is WEQ.. W onto a minions being attcked by champion then AA for stack follwed by E so adc can come in then Q for slows/dmg.. i personally think braum has some of the best disengage abilities on offer.. dat R compltely changes outcomes of team fights and just with fotm and locket.. noone has ever died under my care

Acctually, should I use any percentual health rune at all?

Should I use Greater Quints of Percentual Health as late game runes? Do they improve my Q and Face of the Mountain more than flat Health Runes?

However you forget to add in the passive of targon, also the fact it gives your adc gold which ultimately could result in an early BF sword and win the lane easily.

i'm sorry i see now that my description wasn't too clear. The slight increase i wave clear ability was a reference to the executioner/spoils of war passive of the tarpons shield. However the passive of tarpons shield no longer increases the gold gain from monsters that the recipient of the spoils of war will gain (believe it was +5 g at the start of s4). So it doesn't increase the AD carry's gold gain at all. if the shared gold from Targons is around 150G on first back, taken that it is utilized optimally; i still believe that the early 4 wards of sightstone is more worth.
I however totally forgot about the slight heal that the spoils of war provides, which might tip it slightly in the favor of Targons. However, personally i really like the early ward control that a sightstone provides.

I usually replace face of the mountain sometime later and btw when I dont see Warmog's Armor as a situational/alternative item choice on tanks I usually get pissed lol.

I'm not sure i agree that you should pick Targons Shield over sightstone if u can. i believe it is more of a tradeoff.. targons have better defensive stats and adds a little more wave clear, and if utilized correctly u might save up to 150 G before you get your sightstone..
however, buying the sightstone saves you 75*4=300 G in wards, every time you return to the fountain. This is by far the best "gold gain" item in the game, or "gold conservation" item.
the sightstone allows you to be more large with your use of wards, and thereby gives you early control of the vision in and around your lane, which opens up to more aggression.
the tradeoff is some early wave clear, health regen and 25 health; plus it is 300 g more ekspansive, which will be returned on the first round of wards...

Great guide, very thorough. Also, thanks for the link to my guide :)

The tips you included for his skills are great. I think it would be helpful if you also included a broader look at his playstyle, such as positioning in teamfights and when to engage vs. counter engage. You could even contrast Braum with other tanky supports like Leona to give readers a better idea. His champion spotlight already does a job of this.

Real tank supports go 4/26/0 (4 points in sorcery)

Their are actually a lot of options for Braum to go with. In my opinion, 0/23/7 works best for me which provides the tank masteries and Fleet of Foot/ Summoner's Insight . It is also plausible for Braum to go 0/9/21 to make up for some of his weak points as a support at the sacrifice of further defensive masteries. Intox suggests 0/16/14 which is probably more viable than 0/9/21 allowing you to get the gold income masteries and still maintain a healthy balance in tank masteries. Sorcery is a viable option to put points in, but just not the best since Braum will be less likely to focus on CDR and more on tank stats or utility items.

Exactly. The most important thing is that people like different playstyles and that they adapt runes/masteries to their playstyle. Some like to play defensive and some want to go in all the time. Some people want to use their abilities as often as possible and others only use abilities when it's really necessary. For someone who likes to spam his skills, it would probably be the best to buy mreg Chalice of Harmony/ Mikael's Blessing and CDR (probably CDR runes, Sorcery, Frozen Heart, Ionian Boots of Lucidity, whatever fits the most, ..).

The runes/masteries/items/whatever I suggest in my guide are probably the most common and fit to most people best but this doesn't say that they are the best for all people.
