When will Blitzcrank be played again in NA/EULCS?

As we all know, Thresh pretty much does what Blitzcrank can do but better/more utility. My question is when do you think the next time Blitzcrank will be played in the LCS? More specifically, what changes would need to be made so that he becomes a viable support pick again?

He has been played a few times in LCS last season and one or two times during this spring split I think. His problem though is pretty much the same as Teemo's, which is his lack of team fight presence. Yes, a landed hook is pretty much certain death but when a teamfight breaks loose then he will not do much. His damage is pretty much non-existant without any items (as with all supports) and his utility is out-matched by many.

If his hooks were more spammable or if his ult stunned or snared instead of silencing he would probably see more play, but that would really break him.

When they change his grab to do the same as Thresh. Get to the enemy.
This'll allow him to be the initiator, with an AoE silence.
As being said, if they can change it to a snare or a stun, it would be better.

Grab any enemy in group, pull urself in, silence/stun/AoE dmg, wait for team to clear the enemies.

I think the main problem is that supports now get gold, so supports with alot of utility and/or itemize very well are strong. Blitz does none of those things. He's a 1 trick pony that has terrible itemization. You land a grab or you're useless for 18 seconds His passive on ult is also terrible

Also, in high level play, people know how to react to blitz pulls, if one of their teammates gets pulled. Also, carries know to stay far back to not get pulled and instadropped. It's very hard for blitzcrank to really profit from pulls in hiigh level play
