Why exactly are Seals of Health the best for tanks? It just seems to me that 72 health is pretty negligible, especially moving into late game. I know that 72 health allows you to take a bit of extra damage in the laning phase, but is it actually that helpful? Then again, I'm no pro, so maybe I'm downplaying the importance of 72 health.
The main reason is because it's the most gold efficient flat defensive stats you can get with 9 seals. It used to be armor, but it got nerfed with the rune changes.
So putting aside scaling runes and examining the flat runes of armor and hp, we get:
8 hp
1 armor
1hp is equivalent to 2.67g, meaning 8hp is equivalent to 21.36g
Compare this to armor, which is equal to 20g, hp seals give you more stats.
