How I deal with the sightstone issue - I never buy it.

Buying the sightstone sure saves you a lot money late game, but most games never get that far.

For the first 11 wards used you actually LOSE money by buying it. So I just don't! You can easily do without it, I see it as a wasted potential because you can get other items instead. You can even assume the health has negative value, so the cost is more than the 800 coins!

Personal taste. Considering that they scale with Chalice passive even 2 MP5 can actually have decent impact later on. They certainly won me a few games already.

You have more HP and the passive keeps your compensation time at the same level, but your selfheal via Q does indeed diminish. So Warmogs is a choise against burst damage - if you are dead you can't heal at all. In return you become a bit weaker in siege scenarios where you heal your allies a lot.

I would go with hp regen on Marks since, health is as important as Mana for casting. That is also why I see spirit visage as important. Warmogs imo is also not needed here, since it scales out the basic hp regen with its passive, but I am currently experimenting on Soraka, so I would not go as far as to dismiss it overall.

HP regen marks? Did I miss something? Does the evil Rito shop conceal important runes from me? All I can buy is extra HP... D:

And: Thanks for your comments!

Concerning health regeneration i think you made good item choice, especially warmogs armor seems to be the optimal choice for me.

Hmm I admit I am a bit reculant on using extra Runes just for Soraka. But since I already do it for Lulu if I ever have to much IP for health regen runes I will surely try the full build.

Until then parts are already useful. And especially the fact that she is a poking healer makes her an interesting champion. This guild gives some good steps on how to compensate this anoyying "10%max HP" cost her heal has.

So I'll upvote it simply because I like the idea behind it AND because it made me think a lot more about facts and how it may affect the gameplay. Kudos for that!

Hello and thanks for your comment!

What you are writing strongly implies that you prefer to play Soraka as an AP focused mage/support. For that kind of play style your choises in itemization and runes obviously fit much better. One note, though: If you want to play AP Raka there is no point in getting Warmogs - Rylais will offer you less HP but has enough AP to empower all your abilites and offset the extra health cost for healing.

However, keep in mind that this guide is supposed to discuss her as a hybrid based support build with a mix of AP and HP5. Once I have tried out some other builds I might add some examples for a pure AP based and more tank based Soraka, but I can't guarantee it at this point.

Good to see that you have gotten some use out of the guide. Stars guide you!

Hello,
i've allready made some experiments concerning the new soraka with my friends.
I find that you are on the right direction playing her, but i disagree with some of your choices. I think her new strength is her ability to zone out lane opponments, because of the large are of effeft of her q. This is reason i would max out this ability first and focus on building ap. I don't think the gold items fit very well to her, because talisman doesn't give her early ap and frost queens claims active is not very effective either, since she is not a good chaser. I start of with rubin to get wards as quickly as possibly and feel comfortable zoning the enemy to his tower.
In my opinion getting mana regeneration and cdr should not be the first priority. She scales rather better with ap, so my prefered buys are tear of goddes and mejais soulstealer.
Concerning health regeneration i think you made good item choice, especially warmogs armor seems to be the optimal choice for me. But i do quiet disagree with your runes, the health regen is not that useful in early game, since she is rather an agressiv support now (in my pow) as a sustain sup. Here is my choice:
Quints of AP
Marks of Scaling Magic Penetration
Seals of Armor
Glyphs of Scaling Magic Resistance or Glyphs of Scaling AP
My opinion to items and runes^^ I just overlooked the other parts and i will give you further feedback to them, but on the first look it seems well written to me, as this is your first guide.
Thank you for the effort, there really is not a lot material to the new soraka ou there, yet.
