I agree with that in fact recently I have been using straight ap runes and its been working great for me, I usually get between 15 and 25 kills and 5 to 10 deaths at end depending on the length of the game
starting off the game with 61 ap makes ur flamespitter do 75 plus 61 damage over 3 seconds and plus 50 percent at half heat... thats about 204 damage over 3 seconds at level one!! I

You cheat sheet should display boots and therefor Sorcerer's Shoes.
You can start with Doran's Shield + Health Potion or Ruby Crystal + Health Potion as it can be build into Haunting Guise as well.
Spell Vamp Quints and Will of the Ancients are rather situational in comparison to AP Quints and Void Staff in the core build.
