Can anyone recommend some top laners that can carry easily? I find a hard time picking some to play. I love Jayce and have a 67.1% win rate with him in ranked. Gnar is another one of my favorites. I also like to play Riven and Irelia, but I can't win at all with those two.

Thanks!

You could try a snowball champion (like Akali) or a strong splitpusher who is less team reliant (like Tryndamere). As a top lane main I have to add that I feel it's not a great role to carry with in solo queue though.

Thanks to Hoppermh for the signature!

As it currently stands top lane isn't a very good carry role, and if you really lack the faith in your team you might want to either be ready to have a lot of patience or just try another role for carrying. As for top lanes that do have considerable threat well.

Jax has always been relatively easy to play for how strong he is, but he is in the park that Irelia is, he can't do much pre 6, but at 6 + Sheen pick up he spikes incredibly power wise.

Maokai is still very strong top lane, and only rivaled by the other current top tiers( Gnar, Irelia, Jax might make a comeback) majority of the time in terms of priority picking. He isn't fantastic at solo carrying but is insanely strong with the amount of CC he provides for ADC squashing or peeling.

Nasus is another really bad early, great late if you can make it-champ, and excels at split pushing the longer the game goes. Assuming you don't get shut down hard enough for them to end before you gain any real power, or you team isn't salty enough to give up the win for free for some foolish reason winning with purely split pushing as Nasus is a potential breeze.

Swain is my most recent, and frankly favorite pick up in a long time, he is far from easy though unlike the rest of the champs I listed, managing his mana properly in fights and laning phase takes work and harassing optimally is a great thing to practice with him as well.

Well I'ved mained Top, ADC, and Jungle. Every time I stopped playing top, I would end up playing it again. It isn't the most exciting role and not the best to carry from, but it's my best. Jungle had a lot of pressure on me, mid is always picked and it's a hit or miss when I play it. ADC and support didn't have much of a variety and seems like it became that same thing every other game.

I just played Jax for the first time in months and really enjoyed him. Nasus is really strong, but I can never win with him.

I know that feel, I always get super fed as Yasuo or LeBlanc can't even come close to carrying.

Gnar, if you build towards the damage side it's devastating once you get ahead and the initiate/cc is quite strong to set up good teamfights.

Irelia, similarly she snowballs quite easily.

Depending on what tier you are in, if it is around Gold Jax and Nasus does really well due to the fact that your enemies most likely don't know how to zone.

Since the tank top meta imo it is very hard to carry at top (especially in soloQ). You need a pretty damn good jungler to be around when he is needed.

And yes, agree. The most annoying thing is when somebody says at the cahmp select: "Top or feed". Then you already know it is gonna be a defeat.

If you're looking for soloQ then you will have a hard time since most top laners aren't meant to be carries but rather the front line.

In normals however, I would recommend Tryndamere, Akali, Darius, Fiora, Jax or Nasus.

Though with the recent top Lissandra I could see a comeback for top lane mages, and in that case I would recommend Swain, Vladimir or Kennen as well.

+1 Swain (however takes much longer to master him than any other champ)

So Gnar's a good top laner? I just can't figure out how to carry with him. D: I've only played Jayce a handful of times and I think he's a safe bet to carry, but he's kinda like a mid laner in that he does really well from the back lines.
