Hey guys. I am Jordan Bot, I've peaked Grandmaster 430LP this year, and I mained Rell and Amumu to do it. Here is my Amumu Guide.

Pros
- Strong in all major phases of the game
- Game changing engage/follow up engage ability
- Fairly easy to execute
- Decent enough peel

Cons
- Limited wave control in lane (melee)
- Engage and die (zhonyas helps this but his job is to light the rift on fire, and then die)
- Fail engage and die (your value comes from how many people you can bring with you, you have no defensive mobility so disengage comps will wreck you)

- R flash is a must learn in order to pilot Amumu close to his limit. Lock people up more reliably with this.
- Q off minions, jungle camps or epic monsters in order to unlock new engage angles.
Engage/pilot any fight with your curse and evenshroud. Objective is to apply these to as many people as possible to amp your teams damage.
- If your adc dies and you need to soak a wave alone, tanking the minions to get your tantrum CD refunded is the best way

Press tab. Go through your head which lane matchups/jungle matchup is most important for your team to succeed, and enemy team to fail. If you have a draven you should spend majority of your map timers with bot lane in mind. If you have a yone top or mid you need to influence this matchup. Anything from warding to helping pushout to killing yourself in a dive play is how you will win this game. If you have a hecarim jungle you need to be playing with his economy in mind. Double jungle the map if you need to. My point is Amumu has a tremendous amount of options and power in the early and mid phases of the game, and you need to think proactively if you are to get the enemy teams nexus. You need to play with this in mind. Your champion will not be as effective late game. Generate an environment in which your team can succeed, no matter the cost.

Teamfighting with Amumu can look different depending on circumstances. If possible with lane prio denying vision can enable picks, and flanks to happen. Identifying the MVP VIP mr. president in the enemy team is important. And making that champions life a living hell is your biggest priority. You achieve this by holding your spells and keeping just enough distance for you to be able to maintina patience. And then pounce when you can lock this champ up for long enough for your team to follow up. Apply curse to as many people as possible and the rest is history. Your deaths do not matter.
