To answer your question, I would recommend a more tankier build for Galio if you plan to going to Top with him.

I would keep the Rune the same, but the item build would be changed.

If you are ahead on Galio, you can still go Rod of Ages or Abyssal Mask first item.

Then the following items would be, Sunfire Aegis, Spirit Visage/ Adaptive Helm, Gargoyle Stoneplate, and the last item can be situational depending on what your team needs.

Remember that the new Abyssal Mask passive with the shorter Passive range works well with Sunfire Aegis's AOE passive well. The AOE passive from Sunfire Aegis does more damage with Abyssal Mask.
