If I could share my input first off in the sorcery tree you should be taking transcendence instead of absolute focus since comparing them both together absolute focus is only good in the first 10 minutes of the game and you aren't going to always be at 70% health all the time making it an underwhelming rune to take compared to transcendence. Another thing for you should be going CRD Adaptive and either armor or magic resist depending on match up due to the fact that Rakan already gets so much HP from the item he builds including his passive shield. Lasty you should always be rushing protobelt first item not ludens, protobelt is 700 gold cheaper and out damages it due to it's active there is no reason whatsoever to get it first item, but as a second item it's great if you can't afford deathcap. Lich bane is too gold inefficient, Rakan has too high of cooldowns to even use it effectively and it has a really horrible build path (aka sheen) if you want an item to use auto attacks with nashors tooth is a great item for that. before i got i should share with you a better build path which goes protobelt > ludens echo or deathcap > whatever I didn't build second or nashors tooth > hourglass or banshees > void staff, morello, hourglass, or banshees.

I wanted to help you and honestly I'm bored I hope this helps you out a lot and I wish you the best of luck.
(ps I'm not challenger or anything and never will be but I have so much rakan info build up from other Rakan mains like myself who actually main the champion and know what they are talking about that I'd rather help out more people trying to spread it, and I hope you use this information to the fullest)

Thanks for the advice AceEpsilon. About the Transcendence and CDR in the small runes, yeah, you're probably right about that. CDR helps with Rakan's long cooldowns and Transcendence scales better too, as Rakan builds pretty much CDR. I just thought Absolute Focus could help as we already take Gathering Storm for scaling, but you usually want to get your enemy low level 2, wait for Electrocute, engage again and kill him, and during this period you should be pretty low as well, but you have a quick engage and CC, your enemy most likely not. I'll give playing without Lich Bane a try. Thanks again, mate, and see you on the Rift!
