can this guide be updated to the latest patch?

I was almost specifically looking for a guide like this when browsing the forums. I am glad I found this. I think you did a great job.

Yeah, I realised that if someone crits they can do up to 700 damage, and by then 120 ain't very much :/ Might just remove it completely.

120 is alot BUT bloodrazor only works on PURE on hit champions.
IF you really want to kill a offtank lategame you need crit + armor pen (Infinity Edge, Shadow Dancer, Lastwhisper= HIGH dps on whoever youre attacking).
A offtank with 3k hp has about 100-150 mr which means more than 50%reduction AND the dmg cant even crit (equal low dps for an ad carry).
To make it even worse, an ad carry wont buy magicpen just to benefit from the onhit dmg I guess.

EDIT: You put shadow dancer as an alternative.

Well, This is both true and false. It does make you deal more damage against off-tanks but it might not be the BEST item to use for the champion in question.
Imagine you fighting against an enemy with 3k HP, 4% of 3k = 120, that is 120 bonus damage, which I consider to be a lot.
Please explain how it is not good against off-tanks? :/

@IceCreamy Thanks for noticing a missing item! :) I think I might aswell read the "Guide to making a Guide" in your "signature" and try to get a little bit more of a structure in my guide. As it is right now I feel like it is hard to read and a lot of text, on top of that I find grammatical errors to correct all the time :P

Don't forget about Moonflair Spellblade as Tenacity item! :)

Madreds bloodrazer is no counter item for offtanks

Thank you for your input :) I reckoned that the picture (which if you hold your mouse over will show name and stats) would be enough and adding names would just be confusing.

Aswell as about the title, it might sound a bit offensive but it's just a pun on the "for dummies" franchise but while it is for rookies I should have such things in consideration.

Not a good guide. Explain what DoT means and after a picture place a name... The title says "Dummies" so you should respect them and give the name of the item/champion.
