Introduction

First off let me start by saying Aatrox has been horrible since 2013? ... I think that's when Riot destroyed him. However if you like playing him this guide may help you.

Secondly, Aatrox is HORRIBLE in a lane against a ranged opponent making him somewhat of a bad pick along with the fact that he is a dying champion.

Finally Aatrox is a very late game champ from my experience.

(I thought I should note that this Aatrox build relies on on-hit abilities)

Runes

-The Quints used should focus more on lethality than anything else
-I take 6 Armor Glyphs because it isn't necessary to have a lot of MR runes due to your high in game mr from spirit visage and wit's end.
-Critical striking will be your best friend due to the fact that aatrox has a low base dmg for a fighter

Masteries

I generally prefer the ferocity and resolve tree for aatrox because the spellvamp, and lifesteal from vampirism and runic armor help with sustain and reduce the hp you take from spellcasts. Also With a lot of attack speed makes the fervor stacks increase faster.

And Since this is an on-hit AD build CDR and magic pen. isn't as important and there is enough on Spirit Visage and Warmogs so Precision/Intelligence aren't necessary.

Items

Like in the Core item note, Statikk & Spirit Visage; either can be built first depending on your playstyle. However getting Statikk first will allow you to farm more effeciently and get your other items faster. If there are more AD Champs, replace Wit's end with Nashor's tooth. Rageblade may also work however I suggest Nashor's or Wit's.

Pros / Cons

Pros
- Aatrox is extremely fun to play(Opinionated)
- Not many people play him due to Riot crippling him
- Easy to get an S with
- Does decent against most melee champs

Cons
- Horrible against Ranged
- W is almost useless
- Extremely late game champ
