Hello everyone! This is my solo top Malphite build. It is still a work in progress, but usually I dominate with it. Malphite was my main in S2 and still will be throughout the seasons. You will want to farm as easily as possible until about 10:00 since you will have 2 GP5. When you hit level six, you will want to push your lane and gank mid as soon as possible. This will benefit you and your mid champion with an advantage.

I choose these runes because you will have an easy time top with any squishy. You will have some tankiness with your masteries. You are free to change the Quints to Armor or Magic Resist. I chose them because usually you will have an easy time top if you have farmed correctly. It will do much harass with your Q once you have maxed it/upgrade it 3 times. You wont be the tankiest malphite until you have your zhonyas, so play passive until then.

These masteries will give you an off tank game. They will help early game until you get 2-3 main items. You wont be as easily harassed if you go with 9-21-0. It will give ability power along with cdr.

I love these items because they all flow. You will Shurelyas into your ult. You activate your randuins. If you are in a team fight, fight until you get to 1/3 health. Then you should zhonya's. The Abyssal Septor is there because when you ult, you will lower there magic resist and do extra damage. If you have an orianna, She should ult and you should ult into it. You will win no matter what if your team follows up. If they are building hard MR, get a void staff instead of Abyssal Septor. You can also ult into randuins, then if you get focused, zhonyas into shurelyas to run away. With warmogs, It will just give extra tankiness.

You want to constantly harass with your Q in lane. When you hit level 2, Q into an e and run away with the speed boost your q gives you. Your Q is also for getting last hits when you are getting low on hp. My normal skill sequence with all items is: R,E,Q,W then auto attack with your speed boost onto the enemies. It usually works in team fights or 1v1s.

Flash and ignite are the best summoners for Malphite i think. If you get CC'd while engaging, flash away. When you 1v1, you will want to ult, Q, IGNITE, and e. The one trick i do with flash is when enemies are doing baron. If you are Mal jungle, you can ult over and smite it. Then, you can just flash over the wall without getting scratched and you get a free baron!

We have covered everything you need to know about AP malphite as a top laner. You should R,E,Q,W as your skill order. This build is usually oriented as Late game. You will want 9-21-0 masteries as it will help you early game. You can usually engage in team fights with Zhonyas and shurelyas. Randuins is just a slower so that you can catch up to your enemies while your skills are on cooldown. Orianna would be the biggest help you have when your malphite since you can both ult and cc as much as possible.
