I only upgradge Health and Armor with Nautilus. This way is usefull too! Also with Straggering Bow skill or Q skill you can escape by throwing it to an ally tower or wall, anyway it must touch something.

I think it's a good guide (though I dont feel that Nautilus is a good champion in either top or bot lane). I would much prefer Nautilus jungle. Top lane, he has no sustain, no damage, and he is very, very slow to react (unless you use his q to get around). He has cc, but no damage or natural stats to make up for that unless he gets ganks. He's a tank, yes, but early game, I feel he is terrible in general (laning of course). In bot lane, he has only his cc, he's easily kited, and he has no mobility besides his anchor. Plus, he has no sustain for his adc, and although he is a tank (as mentioned earlier), I feel his early stats are terrible.

My conclusion, like Sejuani, he is MUCH better off in the jungle. If you want a champion like Naut bot with cc, Blitzcrank is better choice. Still, you can choose Naut if Blitz is banned, but he is easily kited.

Okay, this is my first post on Mobafire, so recognize that i'm a no0b around here.

+1 to the guide because it's really the best way to play nautilus in my opinion, the items are perfect, and it's a much better use of the character than the top guide makes him.

I would like to see two additions to the guide however. A video (commentary would be great) of you playing him successfully, and getting a good way into your item buid. Second, the same as above only in a type-written format.Whenever i play Naut, i'm constantly gold-starved. By the time i get both the philosopher's stone and Kage's Pick (new item, boosts AP, 4 gold/10 sec) to get a gold income, my team wants me to start fulfilling the tank role, and i'm just not ready yet. Part of the problem is that i don't kill minions unless my lane's carry is gone, or if i have time going through the jungle. I'm probably just doing it wrong, but it you could reply back or make these additions to the guide i would be very grateful.

Hey, thanks for throwing up this guide! Just got out of my first game against players as Nautilus. Was almost an hour long, ran 4/14/24. Had a rocky start since most of the team was a premade group(even being down 20 kills the first half of the match!) But the support I was able to provide for the team really fleshed out. Started coming back second half and we finished with a win, team total of 60ish/50ish/73 to their 50/60/40

I did have an AI game before I found this guide, and your combo description reeeally helped anchor(zing!) my ability to do the most during those team fights!

@MisterJonny - You are correct, and it also stopped ults like Nunu & Willump's and any castable ult.

As for the guide, I liked it a lot, and had some insight on how to play more as a support role than a full tank or jungler. Keep it up :).
