Guardian / Unplayable
She can do anything Level 1 you have no counterplay. Have to give first CS. Can walk up every bone plating + guardian to manipulate wave to push towards you. Be very mindful for roaming timers. Ward for your midlander whenever you can and defend raptors. 2v2 and 3v3 is never winnable pre6. Just gotta hope you can come back from all the lead they get early on.
Caitlyn
Aery / Guardian / unplayable. Ward middle push camp the one on your side. Or she will land free Q when you walk to lane. She traditionally has push we can easily ganks and win 3v3 pre6 that is really the only thing. Most matchups that are autowon post6 aren’t vs caitlyn because she will trap and instantly kill again. Only advice I have in teamfights is try to bomb her shortly before the people get revived in Zil R. She will likely stand still and combo that person. Or commit very hard to kill her in TF so your ult gets value.
Fiddlesticks
Guardian. We need unflinching and mercs or you just cant play the game if you don’t see him. Very easy for fiddle to 100-0 you silenced. Play mindgames in fog of war where fiddle might be. Walking in ult range speeding yourself out trying to bait fiddle ult. Constantly bomb above walls to find him and always
Play backline if you have no info.
Pyke
unplayable identical to camille. My personal ban recommendation due to high playrate. Only advice is be mindful of wierd q charges or e uses that he might combo with flash to react to it.
Samira
unplayable Guardian. Very tough due to her W and E. She can just walk at you level 3+ and you have no way to interact. She will w your bombe or dash in will always win trades. Just gotta slow her a lot in fights and hope team can kill / cc. Ult first target that dies in fights to deny resets. Just bomb anyone else in fights. Make sure to not layer projectiles in fights so her W gets to block multiple things.
Zoe
unplayable guardian. They will run bot bush with multiple players and Zoe will E you level 1 from river. She will just run nonstop at you and E and you cant trade vs that. Try to heal level 1 or 2 for trade before she skills w to deny that value. Play a lot around hugging minions and slowing her when she walks up. Get mikaels first item and you can easily gank her to get bailout. Be very mindful of summoner spell uses because she will pick them up and use against you. Later on can get very strong slows off if she ult somewhere over the wall leading to a catch.
Neeko
Hard aery. Can outrange her with bombs and poke and scale. Be very mindful of the map. It’s your job to track her, count minions on all 3 lanes and ping her at all times. Press tab very often if you have vision on a champion her name is a little brighter on tab. If she lights up but is not on the minimal you know she is a minion or small raptor somewhere check everything and ping. She also doesn’t show up on the minimap with a champion icon if she becomes small raptor. She will use that to get into sneaky flank or roam positions. The neeko players will always buffer the ult with flash and protobelt just don’t be surprised by it and position accordingly.
Sylas
hard aery. Very op level 1 just respect that and play around minions. Can poke with bombs and slow him when he uses E 1, they usually rely on walking up further and missplay that a lot. You outscale very hard so can just relax, defend necessary camps. Lookup Sylas ult range it will be sometimes very important to space out of that range in ongoing fights or skirmishes to not give him your ult for free this can be game losing if you mess this up.
Karma
hard aery, she just outlanes you very hard. Get refillable and boots early on absorb some Qs for your adc you outscale very hard. 3v3 is also incredible easy due to her beeing immobile.
Lulu
hard aery, lane bush ward importand. She deals a lot of damage in the early game. Gotta outrange with bombs and trade for mana advantage. Difficult especially because she outlanes you and you don’t have a large scaling advantage. You are a lot better level 3-10 in 3v3s with your insane amount of cc she usually has trouble to deal with. If the game goes very long the is just the better champion most of the time.
Senna
hard, aery / spellbook.
Outlanes you the best way to play is just doing nothing at all to give her the least stacks. Try to only walk up for necessary cs to trade. Her e is also extremely annoying for you because you simply cant slow enemy’s due to them beeing invis. Gank on flash timers and you can just flash E to secure freekills.
Sona
hard, aery / spellbook.
She outtrades you in lane and outscales you make sure to just trade Qs and not Q auto, that one is very bad. Play a lot for you jungler this game whoever has the stronger carry will win and close out the game early enough she gets incredible op at some point. Level 6-10 is hard winning for you Sona is dead whenever you get the slow off in 3v3 or 2v2 make sure to get the maximum in that timeframe.
Yuumi
hard aery / spellbook.
Don’t get cheesed by Q level 1 before minions are on lane. You are basically trading against Yuumis mana pool try to roam a lot level 3 +. She cant really follow and they cant dive your adc so you have a lot of time to impact the map.
Janna
even, aery
Ward lane bush, you outrange with bombs janna can’t deal with that. Make sure to not get Wd for free if you have no bomb up or there is no cs to fight over. Can scale kindoff for free eventho her poke can be annoying. Janna also loves to roam early on you should match if you have vulnerable lane matchups. She is very fast but most of it is flat move speed so your %slow is brutal for her.
Leona
even guardian,
Can just abuse range diff level 1 and get prio. E is easy space with your range. Can scale for free and win so hard level 6+ can match roams but can also just play for xp advantage because the MU is so lost for her post 6. depending on draft mercs is a good choice and definitely get mikaels after locket. She relys a lot on ult.
Nautilus
Nautilus even guardian,
Very strong level 1 gotta respect or tank 1 hook to manipulate wave to push to you. If he doesn’t get sweeper lane wards are very op. He gets outscaled incredible hard so you are just trying to survive. Try to have info on jungle or don’t trade hp at all. They have a very easy time diving you on a slowpush. Post 6 you just block his hook for your Ad and he loses every 2v2 3v3 if close to even gamestate.
Nami
Nami even aery, if paired without Lucian this is very free. Respect her good level 1 trades outrange with bombs, level 3 on you win every 3v3 and on 6 she lost. You can just walk up and she has to respect. Lucian nami on the other hand is incredible difficult you are never allowed to bomb, have to bomb on Lucian dash and play very defensive until 6.
Lux
Lux even aery, you outscale so hard so you just play to secure the most cs. Her q should be unhittable against Zilean Speedup. Probably have to base at one point because of poke give up a wave and she lost on 6. constantly think about flash Q if she is walking up very close that can be very difficult to react to if you aren’t aware. Easy gank target walk up flash over binding and she is dead.
Soraka
Soraka even aery, have to dodge q, she will outlane you but not very hard if you just do it right with the outranging. Incredible easy target to kill in 3v3 and 2v2 forallin. Post 6 be very mindful of her E spell in allins. If she holds it to stop you from late ulting you gotta ult earlier than usual. You are sortoff on a timer and have to do things she will eventually just outscale you in regular fights constantly look for skirmishes and roams she has a bad time diving your adc and matching because she is so easily caught.
Taric
Taric winning, spellbook play range and freescale, can constantly bait his E and speed yourself out. You wont really kill him in lane and poke is entirely useless after his first base. Taric is a great target to slow, he has to stick close to people for his damage / sustain. Be careful of his e flash early on, dont go to deep to punish him early or he might 100-0 you. You outvalue him in fights your ult is much higher CD so trading ults is always amazing. The easy play is also in skirmishes to just speed your team out when his ult is close to popping and you can just kite it and yours is half the CD so you have a long window to just look for plays constantly.
Blitzcrank
Blitzcrank favoured, Guardian blitzcrank is very weak level 1, hug the wave and bully him out of lane. On level 2 they have enough damage / cc to kill you so you gotta respect a lot more. Blitzcrank is balanced around mana so baiting hooks is really good. Level 6+ you can just tank the hook 2v2 in a good wave position cc enemy adc and win the allin. Late game you are fast enough to always dodge the hooks, make sure to be very careful around fog of war this champ easily 100-0s you in cc due to his ultimate.
Thresh
Thresh even, guardian, Mikaels first or second item. This matchup can swing from hard to winning depending on the adc and skill of the thresh player. Dont aa trade him due to his e passive, can outrange with bombs and poke. He beats you up level 1-5 but hard loses post 6. Play around wave dont walk to close or he will flash EQ. You cant react to the melee hook but my advice is flash to a really weird direction and he will likely miss. This is also not a good matchup to gank early lantern is just very broken vs your cc. Just scale and handshake lane until 6, you will be much more useful for your team.
Aphelios
I like having an Aphelios his stun is a great setup for a Double bomb and when he has the White+ Blue/Red gun he does tons of damage when you CC the opponent. He is also a great hypercarry who can go melee and receive your Ult.
Ashe
Very good she is early game Strong and carries you through the early levels of the lane. Her dps is decent and your speedups provide Ashe the mobility she needs to be a strong DPS in Fights. Also her Ult is a great Setup for your combo.
Caitlyn
She is lane strong and carries you kindoff through the lane. She works also as a Hypercarrie and benefits a lot from CC and speedups you give her. She is usually further back in the fights and not a great Ult target. Its hard and often not possible for Caitlyn to time there traps with your double bomb.
Draven
The best Adc you can have as Zilean. He is lane dominant, carried you in the lane gets huge benefits from Speedups and when you cc the opponent. A Draven also wants to get very close to the oppoents and be the Target so you can just ult him afterwards. If you want to duo an Adc take a Draven player.
Ezreal
Its fairly good, he doesnt benefit from your speedups. But if you slow the enemys its very easy for Ezreal to land his Q in Fights. You both scale extremely way and he can safely farm with Q in your weak early game pre 6
Jinx
Jinx is a fine lane partner to scale up with in lane. You both want to farm and have great CC setup for a junglegank to kill the opponent. Its becomes very op if you mange to survive the early game.
Kai'Sa
Kaisa gets stacks on her passive for your double bomb ofcourse and has huge DPS if you CC the Target. I see it often misstimed with the Kaisa R and Zilean R which goes horrible wrong. In general to close Range to play with i personally dont like Kaisa.
Kalista
The worst Adc to have. Kalista needs someone to go in for her and thats simply not you. She wants to play agressive from Level 1 and Zilean feels very useless in that spot.
Kog'Maw
Kog maw is weak in lane, Yes he could need the mobility but to be really strong he should get a shield Support and Zilean can not really be that. In teamfights if he is the target you ult he will just be out of position and die again.
Lucian
its great he wants to go close range and benefits a lot from movement speed. You can also play him as someone who goes really deep and than receives your ult It works fine. He is not that type of Hypercarry adc that you want.
Miss Fortune
Really great she benefits a lot from your movement Speed, Her E is a setup for your double bomb. Also its very nice in lane to do: E into double bomb and MF ults on that they easily loose 60%+ HP
Samira
She can dash in and travel your bombs, likes your ult and gets value from movement speed. The only thing is her passive wants a heavy hard CC support which Zilean is not.
Senna
Nice adc to play with, she provides you with sustain, her W and Q are great setup for your bombs and she can also use your movement speed buffs. Fasting Senna is very good with Zilean.
Sivir
Both scaling Champions, you can get easily dove and Movement speed is again overcap with the Sivir ult. She can use your CC to autoattack alot and Hit her Q guranteed but its still horrible.
Tristana
Horrible Tristana wants to play extremely agressive first level, she cant use your movement speed at all since she just junp resets. Your cc is nice but she wants a tank Supp that engages for her.
Varus
You can be the setup for the Varus skillshots but also Varus R can be setup for you. He has great DPS with no mobility where you come in place. If he goes Lethality your E -> Varus R -> Double bomb -> e is a infinite CC you can likely kill anyone 100-0 level 6+
Vayne
Usually bad but depending on the vayne. Really good vaynes win most lanes and they can E enemys into your doublebombs when you throwh them behind really advanced but strong combo. If the vayne is top Vayne + Zilean teamfights 3+ Items are very strong. Speed her and she can 1v9
Xayah
Pretty good she also has tons of DPS which gets effective when you speed her. Also its nice to CC the enemys and Xayah can farm a lot of feathers behind them for a clutch E while they stand still. Sadly Xayah isnt so good in the meta rightnow.
Jhin
Insane adc, can safely farm with you, dont get baited to speed the Jhin to often in fights most Jhin players simply wont be able to controle there character at that speed, run out of position and die. He has a nice follow up on your CC
you can run up to the enemy when Jhin ults and gurantee that he hits all shots.
Kayn
Kayn benefits a lot from your movement speed and is a great hypercarry. He can always stack full conquerer and get a revive if he is not fed enough yet to 1v5 without R. A great Champion to duoQ.
Master Yi
Master yi is one of the strongest hypercarries in the game. A big problem due to many champions beeing very mobile rightnow is that yi cant stick that close to his enemys. Zilean completely fills that role and gives him great peel. Playing duoQ with a Master Yi jungle player is something i definitely recommend.
Zeri
Zeri benefits alot from your Movementspeed. You have a rough laning phase but a classic 2v5 Partner if the zeri is good.
Smolder
Smolder is a great Hypercarry to play with. She can safely farm with Q W in the early game and your Speed ups complement her otherwhise fairly immobile kit. Be carefull in the early game but Minute 20+ you become 2v5 Monsters
