Building up lifesteal items is too expensive, and only achieves one purpose... more lifesteal. instead of building up your lifesteal, increase your damage output and your lifestealing returns will follow the trend. if you are getting 25% lifesteal off of 100 damage you will only get 25 life and do 100 damage, whereas if you build crit strike and attack damage, you can have a base attack of 100, and and only have 15% lifesteal, but when you crit you will not only do double the damage but get double the lifesteal returns.
