Hello, This is my first serious build, It is for Garen and if you have watched the champion spotlight for Garen you will know how he is played and I try to play him close to the video accept I have my own items. I will explain the Rune Page, Mastery Page, and Purchase order throughout the build.

For the rune page as you see I will go for 9 Greater Mark Of Desolation's. For your seals depending on how you play I suggest you either go for 9 Greater Seal Of Fortitude's or 9 Greater Seal Of Evasion's, I prefer more Health so I am going to go with Fortitude. For Glyphes you can either have 9 Greater Glyph Of Celerity's or 9 Greater Glyph Of Focus's, I prefer Celerity because it gives more cool downs late game where that's where Garen will mostly need it. For your Quintessence's I prefer 3 Greater Quintessence Of Desolation's, If you don't agree with this then I would also recommend either 3 Quintessence Of Swiftness's or 3 Greater Quintessence Of Fortitude's, I build him tanky but I also like to have more raw damage.

The masteries are basically as above, It depends on what you prefer. Either 21-9-0 or if you like it a bit more tanky go for 9-21-0, it's as simple as that.

Basically you build straight from what it says until you reach your Atma's Impaler, then you can decide from a Banshee's Veil or a Guardian Angel's, I prefer Banshee's Veil because he needs magic resist,but it really depends on the opposing teams structure. At the end you will finish off your Youmuu's Ghostblade.
