Welcome to the Garen guide to solo top on 5v5 or at 3v3! This guide is focusing at leveling up Q instead of E. This is making it special and not looking like the other guides for Garen.

For Marks(reds) i choose ArPen for reducing the armor of the enemy even at lvl 1.
For Glyphs(blues) take CDR/per lvl or u can take flat magic resist runes for vitality.For quintessences(the big ones) take ArPen since they synergize with marks giving 25 arpen at level.And finally take Armor seals since they are very cheap and almost everyone at solo top are AD offtanks or ocassionally tanks.

For masteries take the usually tree for ad offtanks.

Q is the skill that you level up in this guide then E and W, of course level up your ulti when available.

take exhaust because garen is basically a DPS offtank bruiser he isnt an assasin so exhaust does the job of holding your enemy down while doing damage.Flash is a must-have since u can escape through walls.
